603 stolen vehicles recovered at NY and NJ ports

U.S. Customs and Border Protection set a new record by recovering 603 stolen vehicles before they could be shipped overseas. These luxury and everyday cars were often hidden in containers labeled as household goods, destined for West Africa and the Dominican Republic. The operation highlights a crackdown on transnational crime rings that recruit teenagers to steal cars.
