‘RETAKE BAB EL-MANDEB’: MBS Preps 100,000 Troops Against Iran Ally To Secure Red Sea Route | Report
Saudi Arabia is reportedly preparing a new offensive against Yemen’s Houthis, potentially within weeks, with the strategic Bab el-Mandeb Strait at the centre of the plan.
More than 100,000 Yemeni troops could potentially be mobilised, backed by Saudi air power. Riyadh is considering either a limited coastal assault or a broader multi-front offensive.
The U.S. is providing intelligence and military advisers but is not expected to join direct combat, while an estimated 30,000–40,000 Pakistani troops deployed inside Saudi Arabia are currently helping defend the kingdom against Houthi missile and drone attacks.
