The creator demonstrates how to transition from traditional wiring and taping to using a metal wristlet base, rubber-based adhesives, and a mix of traditional roses and edgy succulents to achieve a classy, contemporary look.
Hi, today I'm making two bazillion corsages. We have a homecoming and it's all I've been doing,
so I thought I'd show you how we do it. We're going to start with just a regular wristlet
and it has these arms like the old-fashioned way. We used to wire and tape everything,
we used to use this but not anymore. I'm going to go ahead and smash it down
and then this is my fancy corsage holder that I made
and then there is a certain type of a glue that I use.
It's a rubber-based glue and it holds up extremely well, so I'm going to dab that on there
and then I have a silk leaf that I'm going to put over that to camouflage my metal base.
So then I'm going to take this dainty ribbon and I'm going under the back side of this.
I'm making two slits
and my ribbon actually is going to go through that slit here.
Okay, and then we're going to secure this. This is how we're going to tie all of everything on.
Okay, so now everything's going to base off of this. I'm going to take my netting,
I'm going to put three together and then I'm going to hourglass it
and then now I'm going to attach it to my base and I do an extra wrap here.
Now I know this is pretty large but I'm not worried about that.
So now I'm going to go ahead and put my ribbon in, take my little bow,
put that in the center. Okay, so now I need to fix everything
and I'm going to remove this excess. Trim up any ribbon that needs to be trimmed up so it's nice.
Okay, so this is pretty long. I don't need to extend that long so I'm going to trim it up.
I'm going to put my greens in first. So this is kind of, we kind of make it a little bit longer,
elongate it. Then we're going to add a second green. This is an oasis floral adhesive
and it's kind of a rubber base type of a glue. So now we're going to add our second foliage
in there and then get them right in the center. That makes really good contact and is secure in
there. Okay, I do five spray roses in mine. So that looks pretty darn good. Okay, so I have my
base all done and I'm going to use this beautiful seeded uke, little baby succulents, and some white
roses. I'm going to keep on going. So once you build your base, it's so easy just to keep on
adding more of your plant material to it and the succulents in here just really kind of give it a
new look. Very classy and a little bit more modern, a little bit more edgy, which is really great for
those girls that want something a little bit different. So I only have two bazillion more to
make so I'm going to get back to work. Make sure you like and subscribe to our channel for more
