Asmath Aachaarya Paryanthaam Vandhey Guru Paramparaam
Jai Sriman Narayana
Now let's get into Pasuram 26.
After occupying his chair
offered by Gopikas,
Krishna asked,
Okay, you tell me,
what do you want from me?
They addressed Krishna as glowing
sapphire because
the color of his body is bluish
and illuminates.
Then they gave the list
of things they wanted.
They said,
We want to perform the ratham
our elders performed
to reach you.
So, we want conches
which shake the whole earth
with their sound and
they should be milky white
as your Panchajanyam.
I can't give you conch
similar to mine.
Okay, I will give mine,
said Krishna.
To sing your glory
we want an instrument.
Okay, I will give
the instrument. What else do you want?
asked Krishna.
We want devotees of yours
to sing Mangalam to you.
Then
we want a Dwajam,
a pillar similar to yours
to show our
identity that we all belong
to you.
We want an umbrella
not to be drenched in snow.
We further
want a divine lamp
to show us the path.
All should be like the ones
you have, they asked.
They just demanded.
Where can I get all
these for you?
asked Krishna.
Don't act Krishna, at the time
of creation you became
Vatapatra Sai, a tiny
boy sleeping on a banyan
leaf sucking your
throat.
But you are
able to hide all aspects
of universe in your tiny
stomach. When you did that
can't you give the things
which we ask?
The weapons or ornaments
which he had can't be found
anywhere.
Indirectly these Gopikas
were asking his
ornaments or weapons.
Here
Konch refers to
Onkar which everyone
needs to attain
salvation.
They want Bhagwatottamas
who can sing
Pallandu to Swami.
So, they are asking
the company of Nichaswaras.
Dwajam refers to
Garudalwar, Swami's vehicle
symbolizes all
Vedic knowledge. They wanted
long lamp always
illuminates that is Lakshmi
Mata. Umbrella
refers to Adisesha
who becomes his bed when he
sleeps, chair when he
sits and umbrella
when he walks.
But Adisesha wants to be with
the Lord always.
So, he won't agree.
Then Krishna gave his
clothes. Exactly
they wanted all
these because they related
to the Lord. Thus
they want salvation
where they can find
the company of all these
there they can find
Lord also.
Whenever these aspects
are closer to these Gopikas
Krishna will definitely
be closer to them.
Very cleverly they
are asking for Krishna
himself ultimately.
This is what is known as
Salvation.
This is the summary of
26th Pasuram.
On all Tiruvadigalai
Saranam. Jai Shri Mannarayana.
