Welcome back to TMZ live, a record setting weekend in Boston.
And the shocker about the Zach, Brian had two shows, uh, at Gillette
stadium in Foxborough, which you know, is owned by, uh, the Patriots
owner, Robert craft now, what made this concert so interesting is that
Zach, Brian, not only Zach, but his entire band showed up wearing free
Palestine shirts and knowing how Robert craft felt about Macklemore
and his efforts to, uh, spread the free Palestine movement when he was
on stage, we know that he's the one who spoke up, called Ed Sheeran
said, can't play at my stadium, called other owners, called other NFL
owners, they got behind it as well.
And Macklemore was gone.
So look, Zach, Brian, hasn't said anything, but this seems like a.
Standing up for Macklemore, right.
Or at the very least standing up for Macklemore's right to spread
that message if he wants to.
I see this differently.
Okay.
So, um, Robert craft, I don't think would have banned Macklemore.
Um, if it were just, just the free Palestine, just free Palestine.
Um, he banned Macklemore because Macklemore is antisemitic.
Macklemore has done things in the past that has shown Robert
craft that he is antisemitic.
Robert craft spends a lot of time and money working on, uh, fighting antisemitism.
So cutting out Macklemore is not the same as saying to Zach Brian,
you can't wear a free Palestine shirt.
The two things are not necessarily the same.
People can believe in freeing Palestine and not being antisemitic, right?
But Robert craft is saying not in my house, if you are, if you've
done the things Macklemore did.
So you said at the start that you see this differently.
What I said was, I think Zach Brian is in his own way, supporting Macklemore,
at least Macklemore's right to spread that message, right?
Or he just independently believes in the free Palestine movement.
You could also look at it as obviously, uh, Robert craft got a lot of
criticism because it was just from people thinking that here's a billionaire
that's silencing free speech.
And there's a lot of people that were talking about this.
I tend to kind of agree with you though, because if you look at
craft's original statements, he didn't never said he was against free Palestine
or, or the message of he doesn't want an antisemite in his stadium.
And, um, and look, I think you're right.
That there was a lot of blowback against Robert craft, but I don't
think Robert craft cared about that as much as he cared about his principle.
And he cared about the principle.
He knew he was going to get blowback.
If he did this, this is, if anything, it's helped Macklemore.
Oh, for sure.
He had the whole tour.
So Zach Brian played on Friday night.
When he came out wearing the shirt, everyone thought, Oh,
this is going to be a problem.
Robert craft is going to ask because he had a show on Saturday night.
Robert craft said, and has said nothing about it whatsoever.
He came out again on Saturday night, not only had the shirt on again, but it's
set a record 73,500 people most ever at a concert at Gillette stadium.
So
