Budget-friendly grocery store opens in Elmwood

The Chalmers Neighborhood Renewal Corporation has opened a new low-cost grocery store in Elmwood to combat a long-standing food desert. By selling staples at discounted prices, the non-profit aims to make affordable food accessible to the local community, particularly those with mobility challenges, while serving as a replicable model for other neighborhoods.
