Welcome to my little corner of resin art. ✨
For me, resin art is not simply about making beautiful objects. It is about discovering what is possible when color, texture, imagination, and patience come together
Hello my artist friend.
In this video, I created a beautiful piece using naturally dried flowers.
If you'd like to learn how to dry natural flowers for use in resin, be sure to watch
my flower drying tutorial.
I've added the link to that video right here.
Make sure to clean your silicone mold thoroughly before using it, so there's no dust or residue
left on the surface.
The resin to hardener ratio depends on the brand and type of resin.
The resin I'm using is mixed at a 2 to 1 ratio, 2 parts resin to 1 part hardener.
For example, if you use 30 grams of resin, add 15 grams of hardener.
Measure both components carefully, then mix them slowly and thoroughly until you get a
completely uniform mixture.
Mix the small pieces of gold leaf thoroughly with the resin, just as shown in the video.
Mix the white alcohol ink thoroughly into the resin.
Don't rush while stirring.
Mix slowly and patiently.
Stirring too quickly can create a lot of bubbles in your resin.
Using gold glitter is completely optional, but I recommend adding it to give your piece
more shine and sparkle.
Ouch, look at the beautiful color and shine!
After pouring the resin into the mold, be sure to remove any remaining bubbles, as shown
in the video, using a heat gun or a torch lighter.
However, my first recommendation is to place the resin bottle and hardener bottle in warm,
not hot, water for about 5 minutes before mixing them.
This can help reduce bubbles significantly.
Dried flowers preserve the flowers that hold your precious memories in resin and keep them
forever.
It's so beautiful that every time I have a cup of tea or coffee, I'm reminded of my dear
friend.
Be sure to follow my method for quickly drying flowers without any special equipment.
If someone dear to you surprises you with flowers, just as my dear friend did for me,
you'll have time to easily dry them at home before they wilt and keep them forever, wishing
you success and many beautiful memories.
Mix the resin and hardener together again, then give them some time for the bubbles to
disappear.
Be sure to use a thin, fluid resin so it's easier to remove any remaining bubbles.
Once the resin and flowers are completely dry, fill the mold with clear resin up to
the surface.
As shown in the video, before pouring the final layer of resin, make sure all parts
of the flowers are completely inside the mold.
If any part is sticking out, gently trim the flowers with scissors to level the surface.
To prevent dust from settling on your piece, always cover the mold after each resin pour
and keep it covered until the resin is completely cured.
I hope you have fun making it!
