Uber driver accused of sexually assaulting passenger after ride

A Bucks County Uber driver is facing criminal charges after police say he sexually assaulted a female passenger following a ride in Bristol Borough.

Wael Hagag was arraigned and released after posting $10,000 bail Wednesday afternoon. He is charged with indecent assault and harassment. Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.

According to court records, the victim and her then-fiancé called an Uber after a night out in Bristol Borough. After arriving at their destination on Mill Street in the historic district, the fiancé briefly stepped away, leaving the woman alone. Police allege the assault occurred during that time.
