Today we're going to feature this piano. As part of our Oktoberfest celebration, we also have a wonderful collection of pre-owned Steinway and Son pianos. Now, Steinway and Son is, of course, one of the most famous names in piano building, and we have some exquisite art case versions of Steinways. We have some beautiful pre-owned Steinways. We have some gently used Steinways and some very used Steinways. So we have a big selection and really cover all different price points. We know that Steinway has a beginning in Germany when Heinrich Steinway was Heinrich Steinweg, and later that Steinweg became the Grotian Steinweg Piano. But he started in Germany first, so the piano, while many people think is German, it's an American company who later opened up a factory in Hamburg, Germany. You know, many people don't know that Steinway Hall opened before Carnegie Hall and was a major performance venue that anybody who was anybody had to play back in New York in those days. In 1880, Steinway went back to Germany and opened up their Hamburg factory, which they still operate today. One of the famous Steinway devotees was Sergei Rachmaninoff, and it's interesting because when Rachmaninoff came to the United States, he toured with a Mason and Havilland piano in addition to being a devotee of Steinway. You know, a pre-owned Steinway isn't just a pre-owned used piano. It's part of a long tradition of German-American piano building that goes back to the late 1800s and is still being made today in New York and Hamburg. So if you want to have a piece of that German piano making history, come see us here at Hollywood Piano, where we have a really beautiful collection of Steinways available to enjoy, to play, and to appreciate.
