Trump complains about Nobel Peace Prize snub; cites 8 wars claim, says he'll win Ukraine & Iran war

President Donald Trump told a Syracuse rally that he should have been named a Nobel Peace Prize winner Friday, arguing that he should have won the award that after settling eight conflicts and intervening to keep Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.

During a near 10-minute rant, Trump alluded to the Russia and Ukraine war and the US-Iran war, too, noting he will "win or settle" those conflicts, suggesting those developments could happen quickly. The Russia-Ukraine war began in early 2022 and the US-Iran war has gone on since the end of February 2026.
