Filippo Palizzi | Verist painter / 𝄞 Franz Liszt

🎨 Filippo Palizzi (1818-1899) was a pivotal Italian painter who stood as a key pioneer of Italian Verismo (Naturalism).
Born in Vasto, he moved to Naples in 1837 and quickly shifted away from rigid academic constraints toward en plein air painting under the influence of the Scuola di Posillipo.
He is celebrated primarily as a master animalist and landscape painter, injecting authentic, non-dramatized depictions of rural life into 19th-century Italian art.
