Art and Nature - an Introduction

Nature has always been represented in art since cave painting. However, this lecture shows how we have predominantly objectified the natural world through our paintings and sculptures, thus missing the point of what representing animals and plants should ultimately accomplish. This lecture looks at the representation of nature in art through time looking at examples from the renaissance as well as modern and contemporary art.
