From splurging on a lavish celebration after the WNBA semifinals to marrying a billionaire with your ex in attendance. There's plenty of things happening in entertainment news right now. Fox 5 Entertainment contributor Miss Shynika joins us live with all the tea. How are you doing today? Oh, I am doing fine. How are you? Oh, I'm doing good. Thanks for asking. So we got some fun things happening in the entertainment world. But first, we want to start off with Miss Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream. What's the latest on that? I know they had a little celebration recently. Yes, they had a huge celebration in New York and at this luxurious restaurant. And, you know, I really love the fact that on and off court that they are doing their thing together. C is the name of the restaurant that they were at. And, I mean, she spared no expense. She showed the girls some real love. Ooh. Yeah. So, not only that, but they were at the Falcons game yesterday all together, unified, and just making their statements. Now, the only thing that is wrong is they don't have a place to play. Oh, yeah. Yeah, for the playoffs. So, you know, I'm wishing the ladies well, and I know wherever it's going to be, it's going to be a wonderful turnout. Do you know what they ordered? I mean, it sounded good. I'm like, was there a steak involved? I need to join the club next time. I know. Girl, can we get a little steak or something? Exactly. Also, too. OK, so y'all all know the song Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson, right? Well, it doesn't seem like she's breaking away from silence when it comes to a recent shopping situation. So tell me about what happened with that one. OK, so Kelly Clarkson is one of my favorite artists of all time. let's be clear so when she got on the internet and she said that she had a situation with a store and they gave her the Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman treatment oh no buddy i was tuned in i'm like who is this store and what is going on well apparently this uh wonderful store it was wonderful before she visited um they sell like all kinds of unique toys and whatnot and she decided to go and support a small business well what had happened was I don't know if they had recognized Kelly, they didn't recognize her out of her, you know, Kelly Clarkson outfit and she was low-key shopping trying to do her thing and she said that they were rude to her and so uh then the store were like they were snubbing her a little bit and then they came back and basically said that the item that she wanted which was a singing toy was not for sale right yes and people were like wait hold on did Kelly want some kind of um treatment because she's a star and then come to find out what had happened was is they lied on my girl because my girl had the receipts she had a 15 thousand dollar price tag that was featured on the item that she wanted so they were lying and um yeah they messed up yeah well that's why they say you know kindness goes a long way you can't judge a book by its cover yeah especially if they didn't recognize her you still should treat everybody with kindness exactly especially when she was trying to support such a small business and we know you know we love our small business owners and she said that they really messed up big mistake as she quoted the Pretty Woman Julia Roberts character you're gonna have me going home saying big mistake okay all right we got one more for you though so apparently it's a family affair right Toby McGuire he was at his ex's wedding I woke up ready to talk about this story Justina okay so look what happened was is Toby McGuire was married to this beautiful woman she's actually a jewelry designer um her name is uh Jennifer so Jennifer and Toby were married for nine years right but it has taken almost 19 years for their marriage to end they recently just got divorced on paper it's September 21 of this year now fast forward a week or so you have Toby McGuire Spider-Man officiating his ex-wife's marriage to this Nigerian billionaire this is crazy to me great friends i mean it was star-studded you have Jeff Bezos there uh Courtney Cox was there i mean it was very star-studded but to officiate oh my god your ex so crazy wives girl we gotta chat about this a little bit more after but since we're running out of time you guys if you want to follow Miss Shanika you can follow her weekdays and listen to her mornings on Streets 94.5
