AI GeneratedThis video features a conversation with Alex regarding his acting and music career, followed by a panel debate on the dynamics of the dating industry. The discussion also covers a guest's personal battle with breast cancer and the ethical implications of AI bots stealing intellectual property from comedians.
I enjoy seeing
people's
responses
when they see their face up there
as part of the graphic, right?
Today it's Bao, Bill, Alex, Lauren,
there you go, in the building.
Yes, there I am, look at me.
Took the glamour shot
from when you were featured
on one of those magazines.
There you go, appreciate it.
Thank you.
In the building, Lauren Daniels.
On Instagram, it's Lauren.
Lauren LSD.
All right, because that's actually your name.
Yes.
Yes, it is.
It's just my initials.
So people are like, wait, what?
Yeah, it's just my initials.
All right.
Comedian on a show.
Yes.
All the things.
Alex, good morning.
Good morning.
Hello.
It's always great to see you.
Alex, by now, it's been like fifth hour,
sixth hour of being on the air.
So good morning.
Thanks again, as we extend.
Tell us about it, because we were chatting.
I obviously follow you, and I was just asking before we got started,
What is the Varnell Hill Show?
The Varnell Hill Show is a spinoff of Martin.
Martin, he had an episode called Varnell Hill,
and he, like, went to L.A.,
and Varnell didn't want him on the show or whatever,
so, like, he, like, came on the set, and it was, like,
Jodeci and all that, and, like, interrupted the whole thing.
So, basically, they made, like, a spinoff of that show,
And now Tommy Davidson has his own show
But it's not, it doesn't have like the same
Storyline, if that makes any sense
Like they kind of flipped it and Martin is playing
His, I think he's playing like
A gangster cousin or something like that
So yeah, so like
It's a show that
Basically I got
I was like started off as background
And then maybe
Like I would say a month
Of me doing background
They came to me and said that they wanted to write me in
and it was amazing like i couldn't even believe it
when the writers came to me stacy shout out
to stacy she came to me in the lunchroom
was like we're writing you in i'm like what and i got to
also write a part of the script like my lines oh wow
so it's authentic to like what you feel like
should be done yeah character yeah they
was like can you write a joke i was like i sure can it's
like you have it for another hour five minutes
an hour wow five minutes i was yeah i'm ready let's
go and tell us about your character on the show
then um i was playing his uh PA i was playing like
an assistant um to Varnell Hill yeah and you
but it was a background position and they just liked
you and your social media yeah and just out of nowhere
so you didn't even really audition for
the part they just created it for you yeah yeah they just created
for me i didn't audition at all
um Robbie Reed is also the casting director she started following me
on social media um now i met
now Evans he's also one of the writers
on the project he is the executive producer of Wild
and out with Nick Cannon so yeah like they really just
was pushing for me because he was already um
now was already following me prior to me even coming down there
because when i went down there
he was like oh you the word i can't say he's like
from philly i'm like yeah so yeah like it just all
just came out of nowhere and it was amazing
but not really out of nowhere because you've been
building yeah definitely for sure i have been definitely grinding
and you know putting in the
work and yeah definitely going at it for quite some time
for a little bit because they say what
you have to be like be ready for when
that moment strikes right absolutely absolutely right stay
ready y'all gotta be you gotta get ready all right
and then we're getting to the topics at hand but
there's also something you can you can tease a little bit
but you can't give us all the details
Let's go on social
Your girls get her own show
Yes, I am
I'm getting my own TV series
All I can say is that
It will be developed around me
It's not much I can say
And you're starring in it
Yes, it's going to be my series
Wow
My series
Have you already started on it?
Yes
And you can't say where it's going to be, right?
No, I can't.
Don't get yourself in trouble.
We don't want to block no person.
I can't say, but yes, it will be coming.
So make sure y'all keep your eyes open in the next,
I would say, year or two.
Because it still has, you know, got to go through
the whole production process and all of that.
But, yeah, I'm really excited about it and just how everything
is just like, it feels like everything is just coming.
And then, like, I also do music.
They done picked up my music and put it in a movie for a movie scene.
It's just amazing, you know.
What movie?
It's actually some, it's called Bullet.
it's actually a project that um i think like
the mayor's office was involved with or something like
that it was something that they said it was like
a it's like a teens speaking on like the youth
in philadelphia and the violence
and stuff like that so they use my um my uh track for the party
scene okay yeah so they're having like a little you know teen party
and then that's when they
play the song so blessings aplenty
are continuing people should give a follow on social give us all
follow on social media all right
so i want to get you guys opinion on something you know we've
talked about before Sarah Fontana influencer she's got
a i think it's called it's giving is
her podcast she's a relationship person a dating coach
and she was talking about who dating is for
so for men for women what's the point
of dating let's hear what she had to say and then i'll find
out what you guys think about all this who
do you think dating is for wait what who do you think
dating getting to know someone going out having
the dates dating getting to know someone you're
not in a relationship the talking phase the show calls it
who do you think that's for is how who
is supposed to be or who is for who is it
for the both of them definitely not no it's for women
wait why do you say that dating is for women
and we know it's for women because if it was just for
a man you know what a man would do bring her over to the house
and watch netflix he wouldn't spend
no money on an actual date dating industry
the dating dating is for women it is to make women
happy it is to create experiences
for women even date night have we ever noticed how women will say
well he never plans dates for me it's
not in his nature it's not in his nature but he's doing it
to try to make you happy trying to make you happy dating is for women
so i want to find out what you
guys think we're gonna break real quick um like 15 seconds
so is dating for women that is our
social media question of the day
and we will get to it in 15 seconds at Wortler Madness we eat
sleep and breathe personal injury our clients are our family
and we protect our family people can
rely on us as if they could rely
on a family member we know exactly what to do that's why
people call us all right our question
of the day we got 15 seconds to think about it thank you
Wortler Madness all right is it for women
when you hear that what's your immediate response to it
if i had to answer i think so really i do you agree a little bit
because i feel like a guy's not going
to be like oh i wonder if she's going to take me
on a date like i feel like that's more so like
something that women think about but i do feel like uh guys
also enjoy it i feel like some guys
like splurging when they really like a woman like i feel like
the more a guy likes a woman the more
he actually wants to do things for her even without
her asking that's just my opinion you know
okay i think that's probably true i think
that the whole dating thing yes like if you like to do it
men with money they like going on well i don't know how to answer that
going on the yachts and you know having a woman
and stuff like that but the dating scene before
you're in a relationship is about keeping
the woman happy doing things for the women you agree
with this uh i i do think like traditionally
that is how it is but i feel like nowadays you're seeing
more men also being like well what what about me what's in it for me
or what how am i how am i also
going to feel good in this okay i have seen more men say things like
that you know it's not just
about you we also want to feel like we have
a reason to be in this thing what are you going to
do to make me feel special or whatever i feel like her point
and i i agree with her point like that
men would be fine just going somewhere
and doing nothing like the whole concept of spending money
the whole concept of we've got all these things
that go viral like don't take me here don't take
me here this is not enough money to spend I think
that dating has become about what do you do just
to make the woman feel good
but honestly I feel like today dating is just like voided like I don't
even feel like people date anymore
I don't see the younger generation like how they did back in the day
I feel like that was more so back in the day
when guys actually showed up, met your father
hello, sir, and all that stuff
I haven't seen that in years.
So the dating industry, the dating as a rule has kind of gone away.
I feel like it's gone away.
But I definitely feel like it's catered more to women
All right.
Is dating still happening?
I'm looking to you because you're single
Yeah, it still happens
I mean, you have boys
You don't have friends.
They don't date.
I mean, I'm old.
So most of my people are either in a relationship
There's older people or single people
They're settled in.
But I guess, I mean, I think the date night thing, like she said
date night is to keep your significant other happy.
Now, there are things, I guess to Alex's point, we got Sixers tickets
And that was largely because my girlfriend was like,
you really like going to Sixers game.
I enjoy the Sixers.
let's plan date night around that but we're
also in a relationship see i agree on something like
that though because i feel like that's catering
to both of you it's giving a woman what she wants
her time and y'all getting to know each other
but it's also you know with it's with it being sports
it's catering to you know keep the guy's attention
and something that he's actually interested in so
y'all meet in halfway you know
and when i hear date night i think people in relationships anyway
i don't think single people well i think that she
was talking about before so it was the whole like
the dating industry yeah they're getting
to know each other phase of it i think once you're in a
relationship hopefully yeah yeah that hopefully that changes
when i was speaking about the not
dating i meant like you know getting
to know someone right i feel like the younger generation
really does that today all right social media question
of the day you can give us a follow
on social media you can chime in we posted it some
of the feedback oh natural beauty says
I think it's for the benefit of both.
But I can see how guys are exhausted from dating because they're
being used just to get free meals and go different places.
Yeah.
But see, that's the thing.
There are a lot of girls.
That's why I said the younger generation will literally go
on a date just to eat somewhere.
Like, I'm getting a meal.
I'm getting some crab legs.
And they make sure they order something
expensive like a lobster or something.
I've seen it.
But it's the younger generation.
All right.
Dr. Timothy says dating is cool
It's an opportunity for us to be different
It just has to be something that we're willing
To continue to do so don't
Start off dating on a level that
You're not going to maintain
If things continue
And then James Sanders says
Wine and dine is just what some
Women want it was not about
Going out there and
That's true
There are some women that just want to be
Wine and dine and have
Really no interest in you
just want to see what they can get out
of you all right we're gonna take a quick break we'll
be right back give us a follow on social media
these two i'm learning from the influencers in
the room so you can find out how to get
those numbers up um ai continues to expand into your
industry find out what you think about that quick break
and we'll be right back
Alex
and
Mike
Alex
and
Mike
it's
on
fleek
11
o'clock
every
day
alex
and
lauren
because
i
wasn't
sure about putting LSD up on the screen Bill Alex
and LSD people up in the office like wait wait what
what is going on with the show down there
today guys uh lauren LSD Daniels comedian
on different shows got our own thing coming out soon got
a hit song we we can't say or play
it's a little even the title it's not safe for TV it's not safe
but you go check it out yes um we
were talking during the break and i
and we've spoken on social media and and interacted here
and didn't talk too much about your personal life
because i felt like that's your thing to bring up
but we were talking during the break you
were pretty forthcoming with the fact that you were
dealing with medical challenges serious medical challenges
not too long ago yes um i was supposed
be probably about close to like a year ago i
was getting ready to go on a comedy tour and it was
gonna be like a 30 city like i was gonna hit up all the east coast
and you know midwest down south
and just do it like that um but then i found
a lump i found a lump in my breast and um yeah i
had to undergo surgery i had to get a lumpectomy in march
and they removed it so i am fine now
thank god but it was literally one of the most scariest
and terrifying moments of my life it was
just like it was like one of them things where
like i couldn't believe it it was happening to me
yeah if that makes any sense like you know like
you you know about it you hear about it you know
breast cancer and you you know you see
so many women battle this but like it's like when something
you know it exists you know but it's like
when it happens to you it's like what yeah like i couldn't
even believe it like even when i got like a emails
when it was like a um like a celebration
you know right you beat it yeah like a celebration
to come down to the hospital and i'm just like
it didn't i was just reading it like what like
this is me this is really happening to me this
is really my life and then it was just a crazy process
and then with the doctors at first they
were saying that it was my ribs that i was feeling
and i'm like no and that's the important thing
make sure you advocate for yourself
because no one i don't care doctor including no one knows
your body more than you
when you feel like something is wrong like i know my body i know
what's been there and what just appeared you know what i'm saying
and then it was growing kind of
like rapidly the uh the lump
so and it wasn't a traditional place i know they always tell us
in the shower lift up your arm and go right
but it wasn't in the place it was in the front and
it was in my connective tissues
and that's why i was also hurting too because it was in
my connective tissues
which was like as it was growing leaning on my nerves and all of that
stuff so it was it was like a lot of discomfort
that's how i even discovered it because it was
causing me pain so yeah i just had
my um um lumpectomy in march they removed it and that
was just a crazy process as well
but they said it's going to be like two years for my body to
kind of be fully restored i mean it'll never be restored restored
but you know for them they just
said it would be two years for everything like my uh nerves
because like where they went in it like
stretched your nerves so i had a lot of nerve damage scar tissue
and stuff like that and i do
sporadically like where the tumor was i still
do get like a pain like where it was pretty new i
mean this is not yeah march it you know
when you think about it but it's like i'll just be sitting
there and then it's just like where that spot
was it just like it's like a shooting throbbing pain
well and they said that's normal at least
for the next two years yeah they said yeah they said
it could be you know just my body trying to restore itself
and the tissue growing back and
just everything just i mean because it's like you just intruded
and bust through something i mean
that's a lot of damage i think it
is and we appreciate you being willing to share because
i think it was we were talking during
the break i think it's it's important when people find out
that other people have similar situations had to fight
for themselves had to advocate for themselves
how important it is to do that absolutely
but also you can beat it you know and you can beat it and
you can continue on this upward journey of success
that you were on pre this uh you are on post that
and that's the amazing thing about this bill
is like i just think about where i was a couple
months ago and then it's just like I was just
so mentally gone like just mentally numb you know
what I mean and then not knowing in a few months like God had
so much joy coming you know so yeah
it's amazing I bet it's even sweeter now it's
even sweeter now like wow you showing out there
we're gonna take a quick break
but all of that kind of stuff stories like yours and we could
we could tell them all day
when you hear it's always darkest before the dawn you know and god
gives his biggest struggles to his strongest warriors
when you feel like you're at your lowest
point is when you are about to turn things over absolutely
and i think that remembering that
is encouraging to all of us
if you're going through something right now um you can come
out the other side and get a hit tv show
and right into the thing i'm excited i'm sitting there like
wait when we're gonna do it all right quick break we'll
be right back on bam or bow or whatever
just
happy
that
you're
watching
alex
and
mike
You
like
the
picture
that's
a
good
one
what
like
celebrity magazine or something like that yeah yeah i
was on it was the cover of august okay
that's good stuff all right so you do comedy you
do skits you do all of the things dibble and dabble
All the things.
And there are a bunch of comedians
who are starting to speak out on AI just flat out stealing your jokes.
There's a woman named Julia Jasunis, who is the latest to go viral.
Here's what she had to say.
Another AI bot just stole my joke.
I bought a two-bedroom so I could rent out the other bedroom.
I bought a two-bedroom so I could rent out the other bedroom.
And I got this really cute roommate.
And I got this really cute roommate.
But we made out, so I had to make a move.
but we made outside to make him move i know it pulled
from that exact video because i said i know
to a guy reacting in the audience i know i know
from his bedroom into mine and um from his bedroom
into mine and and at the end i say
and um and that's where she ends the video these ai bots are
going viral and people think that they're real people
and if you're watching these videos and
you're not realizing that these are computers regurgitating
our jokes that we've crafted over
time on stage and honed and whittled down into a punchy bit
then you need to get out and take a walk
and go see a live show so another ai bot so for clarity
and i cut that one that's for another clip
um so i did have to cut some of her stuff
so she was because it was a long she was upset about what
was going on and the you need to get out
was largely speaking to the people who were following
these bots you know now julia has about 105 000 followers
that's the original, that's the human
yes, the bot who is stealing
her and other people's jokes currently has 250 000 followers and them
telling her joke has 10 times more views likes comments than the person
who actually created the
joke as a comedian, i know right oh man
that's just flat out stealing like you saw it word for
word but who do you go after, who do you go after like me
and AI we're gonna have a problem
like i can see me now talking to my computer
going crazy like really like how do you fight
ai they know every move is calculated you know what i mean
um i don't like as a comedian you
work so hard on your craft
and to see someone, not even someone, like a computer ai stealing it
then you have more followers than me you have you you got millions
of views on my stuff you're
making money on your stuff
on my content it's just it says i don't even know like what to say
because like we we know we had talked about
earlier you can't you can't contact them you
can't you know reach out the ai
and say hey you're stealing my stuff but i mean i'm sure there's a
person running the actual site i just don't know
how you hold them accountable it's like because
who who are you suing i guess the person
who created the ai yeah i guess there's always a
human behind it yeah now a couple people online have said
that they tried to get their jokes taken
down and the the the ai who does who follows
the the appeal was like this is just you know the ai
is just telling a joke and comedians take additional jokes
and liberties with jokes all the
time why is it different with ai so so wait
so basically this is the ai person saw that girl's
content took her content just converted it yes i mean
that's what it looks like that's what she's
claiming is word for word i mean i don't care
computer human i'm mad across the board i don't
care who it is because this happens to me plenty
of times really yeah people just take your stuff
yeah so reenacting my uh you know content
because you do actual skits and things yeah
you know i mean that's what made me create miss molly
because i got so tired of people
stealing my content and it's just like people
you people don't understand until you actually
are a creator like when you take your time to create
and you're not one of them people that
steal and you're trying to be
original and give people something different
you know because everyone's
copying everything and you pride yourself
in that and you work hard
I mean it's not easy just thinking of jokes
and content
and creating and all of that stuff
and then to have someone just come
along and take it and then
they're more successful than
you and you are the one
that made it i mean
that's messed up
and you understand her feelings we need to take one
more break you understand her feelings
that she's almost upset with the people who are liking and
following the ai as well well it is i feel like on us to check
and see because if you support it
then they get money and then they get to do more things
but if you don't support it then maybe
they won't keep doing what they're doing you know yeah yeah
but why do we think that she got less
views than the AI did you see the AI we
were talking about this in the hall you see the AI
because people are superficial they created
a little Barbie looking short shorts not even
looking at the crowd you know they're sitting there looking
at the camera telling the joke
with an AI crowd in the background quick break we'll
be back some of that's on us too y'all we
need
to do
the
right
thing
i
look
some
money
out
of
here
i'm
sitting
here
reading
how
they're
making money so we might have to do another show right
in this chair welcome to fam all right we
