Bill, Alex, and Mike on the airwaves giving what you like.
Topics on fleek, 11 o'clock every day of the week.
6.30?
That's when you got up?
At 5 in the morning.
Yeah, you were at the gym.
They didn't have us on at the gym?
At that time, it's not Alex yet, though.
No, yeah, Alex is on until 6.
Yeah, she don't come on until 6.
It was Karen.
I seen Karen at 5 this morning.
So they did have us on at the gym.
All right, shout out to your gym.
Yeah, they always got us on.
They had us on at my gym, too.
You know what I mean?
You was there this morning, too?
No, it was my house.
I had us on.
You lame.
That was the best.
You got to get up and go out in the cold, man.
That was the best purchase I ever made,
taking the little porch and turned it into a gym.
You got to get up and go out in the cold, man.
Nah.
See if you really about it.
Nah.
30 degrees.
I am all in on an hour workout actually taking an hour.
5 o'clock in the morning.
You sit there.
You see your breath.
the car don't warm up before you get there yeah why oh
when you get back what am i trying to prove
you know i'm good i get the workout in level
of commitment sit right there look for bam topics
while i eat a little breakfast like 10 minutes after you finish
the workout this is great don't
need a lot of space
and what i bought the equipment is less than me and my girlfriend
paying a monthly fee to the gym it's like 11 12 we're
at the gym fitness well the gyms i was
going to wasn't well you're showing off you said you didn't have
to get fancy but you too when you
were doing like kickboxing
or what have you you're paying 150 that was expensive you know so doing
that went ahead and leased me some equipment
got everything right there got a little bike
got an electrical thing got a treadmill i'm
not nearly in as good a shape though as i was when i
was doing muay thai okay you can get back
that workout you can get back i hear it's an intense
workout it's ridiculous
and when you're doing it with rami yeah he's ridiculous he's ridiculous
like one of my instructors before was one of rami's fighters
so you sit there so rami was
trained this is the kind of stuff where they thought
as we go off on a tangent right welcome
to bam like they used to think doing sit-ups
and then somebody hitting you while you were coming up
just to make sure you were tightened up i took hank over one day
to shoot a story doing the
training. First time they hit him in the
stomach. Hank was ready to go.
He was like, what did I just sign up
for? Rami was coming around with like the heavy
bag. You drop it on your stomach when you're doing
the sit-ups. I see him curse out kids.
Throw kids out
the gym. Who's Rami again?
Rami is a Muay Thai fighter.
He's an instructor who owns a gym
up in the Northeast. Rami, I apologize.
I was not familiar with your game.
Yeah, it's his place. There's a couple.
But there's plenty of them around it.
Like, he's known.
I just want to make sure everybody knows who we're talking about.
Yeah, in the Muay Thai world, people, at least in the region.
Those who know, know.
Yeah, know.
Yeah, that kind of stuff.
I sit back on that sometimes.
I was like, what was I doing?
I bump into him every now and again.
Paying people to beat me up.
Why don't you come back to the gym?
I'm like, yo, dude, like, a 17-year-old kicked me in the head.
And I was 45.
And couldn't do nothing about it.
And I'm thinking, like, if I really fight him, he might win.
And that's humbling.
It's humbling.
Like, when somebody does something to you and you're already fighting.
So, it's kind of like, what's your recourse?
Am I going to threaten to hurt you?
Like, I've already proven I can't do that.
So, now you're just mad.
Got a teenager.
But on a positive note, you then will see them on TV in actual fights.
You're like, oh, that's the dude who kicked me in the head.
He just kicked that guy in the head.
Anyway, welcome to BAM.
Jumping into the topics at hand.
I'm on TV since early this morning.
That's what started off.
I appreciate your support.
Very happy to see.
So we've been following what's been going on with Jalen Hurts.
There are a couple, but we talked a little bit about Michael Robinson,
the former NFL player who is now an analyst.
His response to what happened to Jalen before we
and he had all the information
had already gone viral, but now it's going viral even further
because now we have more information about what happened with Jalen.
So for people who may not know,
this is the comment he made that has people angry,
I think is probably a safe way to express it.
If I'm just playing devil's advocate here and I'm thinking that way,
if I'm Jalen Hurts or anybody in Jalen Hurts' camp, I'm saying,
well, if everybody's hurt, I'm hurt too.
Guys, I've been clefted before.
And I'm not saying, you know, a superficial blood clot isn't serious.
I'm not saying that, but I would advise every all of our viewers
to go Google superficial blood clot as opposed to a real blood clot.
And again, I'm not a medical guy, but I'm just saying to me, to me,
it looked like Jalen is kind of getting himself out of the fray
so that this lost season, which you just said it.
Yeah, this is a lost season.
He's pulling himself out so that this doesn't look like it's on me.
so is it fair to say he implied he was overstating
his injury he was uh perhaps pressing it a little
further than it should have been they get paid to do this kind of stuff
though bill that's his job
man like is to assume
and you know i mean this is what they this is that's what we get that's
where our entertainment comes
so i'm not really mad at him i hear what you're saying and i understand
From the journalist standpoint and all of that stuff
But I mean he didn't know
And he's just looking at it from
Where I'm sitting
If I'm in that position maybe I would have
Played it the same way you know what I'm saying
That's how I took what he said
And we can make faces and we can
Judge after the fact and all of that
But I mean
In my defense I judged during the fact
As soon as he said it it was come on dude
Now not only are you questioning
Somebody's integrity and their heart
Who has already proven that they would give
everybody to the team but you're passing judgment
on an injury that potentially is really serious
yeah but he also couched it with saying i had
the same injury before to have been cleared right you
know and this was before we knew what we knew right
this is when it was superficial still in
the cast he wouldn't play the game after you know what i mean
so i think that's a different
conversation compared to what we know now exactly i'm
not saying it was right i'm just saying
context right when he said that was days
and days like that was right it was not what it is now we
all are talking from what we know now exactly
so and i think it was similar to me to when people
started jumping all over stephen a smith's case
when stephen a smith passed judgment on lane
johnson about mental health right you know
and and implying that he was just putting it out there i
feel like there are some things you just don't go into hot take mode
when you're talking about
somebody's life. And I get it.
But this is a hot topic.
So how do we not? We're talking about it and
implying somebody's faking an injury
when they talk about something that's potentially life-threatening
to me. But we didn't know it was life-threatening
at the time. And he's apologized. Did you say that?
So he did. And that's where we're getting to.
So he did apologize. And that's actually why it has gone viral
again. So he apologized
through a post. This is what
he posted. I want to sincerely
apologize to Jalen Hurts, his family,
the Philadelphia Eagles organization, and fanbase
my comments blah blah blah you can read what he says they
were unfounded uh never should have
speculated on a health issue uh it's okay it's apologize you live
and you learn he lived and he
learned he said like you just said i never should have speculated
and i'm sorry so he learned his
lesson hopefully next time he's faced
with something like this a discussion like this
he'll remember this moment
and he won't go off on a tangent like that again so it has gone viral
because there are some who are saying that's not enough
and there should be additional consequences.
Let's discuss in 15 seconds.
We'll break it down.
Call a lawyer.
At Courtler Madness, we eat, sleep, and breathe personal injury.
Our clients are our family, and we protect our family.
People can rely on us as if they could rely on a family member.
We know exactly what to do.
That's why people call us.
Home care.
I'm sorry, y'all.
Some of the conversations that go on.
behind the scenes here in the studio
but anyway there's a couple of people who have stepped out
it is going viral for exactly what you said there were people
who were saying that you should have
never played games with something like that and it's
this whole hot take and i actually fall in
line with the the whole hot take environment of people
who are pushing buttons for clicks and
responses in areas that aren't funny and aren't jokes now
and preface it by saying as journalists
I certainly have said things that
I apologize for
I didn't want to be misinterpreted
I wouldn't want to be judged
Long term for it
But again with your whole live and learn
I think there are certain games you don't play
Even in a hot take society
I don't know I didn't take it
You know and I'm sure there's people
Who want to attack him and say there should be
Consequences and all of this that and the third
I disagree
And I'll just leave it at that he said it in the moment
based on his life
experience and what he knew
at the time and then when he
found out what the facts were he came out and said
you know what I was wrong and I
applaud him for being man enough to be like
listen I was wrong you know what I'm saying
I shouldn't have did it and here's where we are
and I wish Jalen and his family all the best
and we move on like what more do you want
suspension or something
no no I'm not calling
for additional consequences
I think that the
the discussion has turned into more
of the hot take culture, not so much suspending him per se
but the people who are feeling like the best way to be rewarded
and to grow is to go what even in
the moment is a step too far
but i don't know if i feel like he went a step too far so if it didn't
get worse you were okay with it right
if it didn't get worse we wouldn't be having this conversation
if Jalen came back
and played we wouldn't be having this conversation okay i mean the
conversation was happening before he right
but if it wouldn't have been like Jalen has blood clots
in his lungs now and he's out for the season
and he could you know potentially this could kill a
person now all of a sudden everything he says
sounds horrible right it aged poorly right but
I don't know if people liked it
then either I think they're more focusing on the part that
alluding to that the lead quarterback
and face of the Eagles is trying to get out of it right
right so I think that was what the focus was on when it first came out
and then it switched once
everybody learned. Hot take. Yeah, these are
athletes. They're competitive. They say things
that are out of line.
You know what I'm saying? They challenge each other.
That's what they do. I feel like it's a more
stupid comment because you're an athlete.
Like if you are an athlete...
Even on the field, if Jalen
would have came back, you don't think somebody on the opposing
team would have been like, no,
you're faking out here with that blood clot.
Come on. Watch me knock you off this.
You know what I'm saying? It's the competitive
spirit. Okay.
It wasn't just competition, but okay.
There's a reason why there's so many people
who are differing on it and discussing it.
It was our question of the day.
We put it up there.
Give us a follow on social media.
For people who are watching,
if you don't currently follow Mike G at Mike Greenidge on Instagram,
I'm looking at 21 people to get him
to the 8,000 that we've been trying to get to.
That's TikTok.
It's inching closer every day.
It's inching closer every day.
But I'm going to need 21 people.
I'm about to hit him with a hot tip.
How about a point?
That's going to take people away.
Point one, we need point zero one percent
of Alex's followers to now go follow Mike on Instagram
to get those 21 people to get him over the hump.
You can follow all of us. Some of the comments, Mr. Hype,
he indeed crossed the line, especially coming from a former player.
You shouldn't talk like this when you don't have all the information.
You should apologize as loud as your ignorant comments.
That's another thing people were saying.
Don't say it out loud with all your chest on TV and then apologize.
Did he have an opportunity to be on TV,
or did he put the apology out immediately?
Like, you follow what I'm saying?
So the apology came out yesterday.
And was he on TV yesterday?
I don't know.
That's what I'm saying.
I mean, he's a regular on TV, so I don't know.
Did he get the apology out right away and then go on TV?
And back it up when you get a chance on TV.
And then ride.
Yeah, that I don't know.
That's an interesting point.
El Capitan says, yeah, he crossed the line.
That's a problem with a lot of these people.
They're talking, and the people around them don't say anything.
And in defense, one of the people on that panel said you should
tread lightly talking about medical issues in the moment.
Yeah, so most of the people are saying he went too far.
The apology needed to happen, and it needs to happen.
Check the clock.
You know it's bad.
Check the clock.
We'll be right back to continue.
How are y'all doing?
Bam.
We got three breaks to get in.
Another awareness month.
Alex and Mike on the air.
Eleven o'clock every day.
All right, jumping back into the topics at hand here on BAM.
I went to GW, George Washington University, for college.
Where did you go to school?
Kutztown.
Kutztown.
Proud of it?
You know what I'm saying?
Feel good about it?
It got me a degree and a job, I guess.
I mean, it worked.
And you?
Mizzou, University of Missouri.
Obviously proud of it because I've heard you talking about it strong.
Have either of you been back to homecoming?
Yes.
Yeah, I've been back to homecoming.
Not recently.
Well, no, I think two years ago.
Okay, so you went, yes
You've been
How about you?
Not in years
I haven't gone since people that I had
Any direct connect with
So after all the people who
I would know were there
I haven't been back, so probably
Four years
This weekend?
Mizzou already had this
And Mizzou created Homecoming
They created Homecoming?
How do you create Homecoming?
Exactly.
They invited their alumni to come back.
Google it.
That was the very first school I had a homecoming.
Yes.
Yes.
Homecoming is huge at Mizzou.
I know, but homecoming is huge at a lot of places.
Well, yes, true.
But I'm telling you, I'm about to show you right now.
Okay.
We'll get to your thing while we do that.
I generally am not going to question her facts.
I know.
If she said it that strong, then she knows it's right.
Because it's instilled in us.
It's a big thing.
If it was me who said it, I might do it.
1911.
Yes.
The modern college, according, you Google it,
the modern college homecoming tradition
is most widely credited to Mizzou
in 1911.
Okay. Homecoming in 1911?
Athletic director invited alumni
to come home for an on-campus
football game against rival Kansas.
This is about boosters and money.
Well, yes, of course.
They're like, look, how can we get some of these
former graduates to come here and bring us some money?
Why don't you invite them in? Let them hang out
with the president, give them a little bit of wine and cheese,
let a game happen.
And then hit them up with the donations.
Don't you love
What's going on here
At the school
But shout out Mizzou
I didn't know that
And as you know
I am a former
Homecoming queen
For Mizzou
So like
How would I know that
I'm just learning
So many things
I'm telling you now
Right
So you know
Part of becoming queen
We have to know
These facts and details
There's a whole process
A little humble brag
Well and
You know
It's actually my second time
If we're going to go down
The trail
She was a two time
Homecoming queen
High school and college
But it felt
Great school
but it felt bigger and it was cool
because since Mizzou takes such pride in homecoming because we
feel like we're the creators that you know it was a cool moment
but that's why i went back because
i had to crown the next queen
and it's like a whole tradition thing so all this pride i'm
guessing you disagree with a viral discussion
a woman put out there she is criticizing her man
because he wanted like she's criticized
for a couple reasons she's criticizing him because
he's 30 and still going
back to homecoming. And she says, why are you
a grown man hanging out with college kids?
The other reason she's criticizing
is he's going to homecoming at
Howard University, and he didn't go there.
He just was from
the D.C. area. I got a frat brother who traveled
to go to homecoming. He's older than me.
And he'd pop into any and every
homecoming. He'd hop on a plane.
He'd still marry.
He enjoys homecoming.
But anybody's homecoming.
Yeah, have you been to an HBCU homecoming?
Yeah, well, I went to school in D.C., so I've been to Howard's.
Yes, I've been to Howard's.
I've been to Spelman.
I used to go every year.
He does every season.
He might do two, three homecomings.
I know people who do that.
They're a lot of fun.
So my dad went to Central State of Ohio,
so Wilberforce, historically black college, university.
And he used to go back until like two years before he died.
Now, he was on a championship basketball team,
and so all the guys would come back together and meet.
But I guess, yeah.
I mean, the point is for alumni to come home.
That's the name, homecoming.
So I don't see, and I love when I go to Spelman,
everybody's usually, you've got the undergrads doing their thing.
You've got the recent alumni.
Everybody goes in their room.
And there's people who are like grandparents,
and they're like fourth generation.
It's beautiful to see.
and they're like, look, I still want to come home and give back
and see how my university is going.
I think it's beautiful.
It sounds like a woman who didn't go to college.
And I'm not knocking a hustle.
I'm not knocking that.
I'm not saying because I think, oh, like she didn't go away to school.
Or maybe he won't let her go because I have heard the HBCUs
and whenever I've gone, like,
you don't bring your spouse to homecoming.
I'm just saying.
So maybe she don't like that her man goes.
My dad used to take my mom, but he was also 70.
Well, that's different.
I'm saying younger people, I know for a fact, and I've witnessed,
they're like, no, we don't bring our spouses to homecoming.
Listen, man, he's 37 years old.
You really think he running up on some college campus trying
to bag something at 37 years old?
No, you go for the other alumni.
Right.
So he might not be trying to holler at a college student, but he might
be trying to holler at his crush from when he was in school.
Right, the other guys are doing their own thing.
I was trying to help you, homie,
but they just jumped right back on your lady side.
What do you mean?
so both of y'all are on board obviously
with the homecoming thing there is no age limit she's
saying we need to put an age limit
on homecoming you're corny if you're still going back at a
certain age defeats the purpose of the homecoming
if you put an age limit on it right and then if
it's not that then it's just a party
or you're just having a tailgate that's not a homecoming
we used to have alumni at basketball games
and we used to hate the old heads who would keep coming
back to play in the like when i was on the team,
and you got the guys coming back i'm 17 competing
for a championship, and a 30-year-old man
is in there playing in the alumni
basketball game.
I don't have a problem with that.
Because it was always
the old man strength, the grown man
strength. So you're out there playing,
and guys with
all the stuff you're allowed to do
because you're now 30 and I'm 17
was just like...
That's a different scenario. But the people that I've seen
debating this, they said, alright, if you don't want us to come,
then don't ask for money, don't ask for nothing,
don't ask for mentorship
or internships
if you don't want to
at least let people
come back and see
how the university
has changed and grown
how you spending my money
there's not one university
in this country
that would agree
with this woman
not a woman
and I'm a proud member
of the Alumni Association
are you
quick break
and we'll be right back
on BAM
I'm a lifetime member
do they have like
the homecoming
you pay your money
you pay money
to everybody
and everything
I know all that stuff
Another
one
of
those
trending
topics
that
are
going
out
there.
Would you rather?
And I don't know if this one is going to apply to you.
But you can ask the question.
She's a ball player.
She might think she can score.
Middle school.
There is another.
She's a middle school baller.
Yeah.
Got a shot.
That's the last time.
Ball player queen.
Twice.
That's the last time I had a shot at being tall
Was in middle school
You know
balling out then
D-Rich TV is one of the influencers
And he had a question he was asking people
About what they would do
With a million dollars on the line
Here we go
For a million dollars
Would you rather take a punch from Prime Mike Tyson
With boxing gloves on
Or try to score against Wimby one-on-one
And you only get one attempt
Which one are you taking and why?
I'm going to go Mike Tyson
He might knock me out
But I wake up and I get that money.
I can't score against Wimby, so I'm not going to get that mill.
Mike can punch me for a mill.
I'm on my mama.
Mike can punch me.
I'm going to go Wimby only because I got a chance.
Mike Tyson, you might not come back alive.
All right, what are you doing?
A million dollars on the line.
You got to take a Mike Tyson.
That's right.
It doesn't apply to me.
It's just viral questions.
They only ask men.
I think this is a lot of them.
It's just viral questions, but what are you doing?
The easy money.
I'm just going to let Mike hit me.
And I'm going to hope that he pulls the punch.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, he don't really want to hurt me.
He definitely don't want me to score on him.
You know what I'm saying?
I mean, the height difference is good.
You only get one shot.
You get one attempt to score on the defensive player that you.
If you score on him, what does he look like?
If you take a punch from Mike, everybody expects you to collapse.
So it's a no-brainer.
It's an interesting way to think about it.
Like, I was on the same thought process just because,
one, if I survive, I'm getting the money.
Like, my chances, and years ago,
I was a decent basketball player, but I'm not going to score
on a 7'4 defensive player of the year, 20-year-old.
Like, how much room do I have to get to even get a shot up?
And I'm not allowed to miss.
Like, you get one shot.
So I just turtle up and hope Mike doesn't kill me.
And I got decent health insurance, so go ahead and recover.
You know what I mean?
Go ahead, Mike.
Take this.
Let me get this baby.
You had to pick one out.
They didn't ask women for this because they already know.
That's all right, but we know.
You try and you trust in your basketball skills.
I like to follow the rules of the guy who's asking questions,
and so you go next.
I already did.
I'm taking the punt.
Well, I'm getting hit.
Am I taking the punt?
I don't know.
All right, quick break.
We will wrap things up.
Shout out to all the people who got Mike over the 8,000 threshold.
We're now well into 8,000 on Instagram.
Looking out, everybody. Y'all let's go.
We'll be right back.
Of this side.
Alex and Mike gotta get ready.
to get up out of here?
Thank you, everybody, who got Mike 8,009,
ladies and gentlemen, over the top.
My supporters, I love y'all.
Now, the next goal is to get Alex to a million.
Oh, my God, that's not...
I'm just talking about me.
I mean, that is the next goal.
It should be 10K.
Yeah, we will do that.
I like it every now and then too.
At Bill A Fox 29,
Especially Bill Anderson on TV on YouTube,
That's what I'm building right now
I only need like 300 people to get to that
Thousand I've been trying to get to for a sec,
If I get to 10k my life is going to change,
Here's how you can go
Am I trying to get to 10k?
I want to see Alex Holly TV on Instagram
