As you will see in the video I've been wracking my head about how to come back bigger and better than before. This video will tell you about an EPIC journey to come. Something you've never seen before. I'll be back next week with a BRAND NEW camping video and LOTS more info!
Hey guys, Joe here.
It's been a while, and I have a full explanation in the next video.
But for this video, I have something
huge I want to share with you guys.
I've been racking my brain on how to come back bigger,
better, stronger than before.
And to my excitement, I got approached with an incredible opportunity.
So a production company called Game7 Media approached me
and wanted me to tell my story in a way that's never been done before.
We're going to do a professional short documentary.
think like Free Solo
but for bushcraft survival canoeing camping now this is my
chance this is my chance
to push myself further than before to bring you guys
stuff you've not seen from me before
to take on the wilderness again to become
one with the wilderness again
which is what I need and what I want to show you
guys just in a better form better format a modified formation
so to make this
happen we're raising money through
Indiegogo so I can come at you bigger
you're better ever than before.
Now, if you've been with me for my adventures, stuck with me
through my ups and downs, and God knows there's been a bunch of those,
I'd really appreciate your
support. Now, it does not matter.
You're going to be able to watch it regardless of where it comes
out, how it comes out, what happens with it, 100%.
If you can't donate, that's fine too. No
worries. No sweat off my back.
I'm not going to judge you at all. I won't even know if you did
or didn't but you can share it sharing would help me quite a bit
and to get you a good quality
finished product to see um again donating helps
a lot there's nothing on you to donate though
you can check out the Indiegogo page i'll put a link to it
and right now i want to show you a clip
a trailer of this new documentary that we've
been working on now keep in mind we shot this in
December this is in the peak midst of my woe
was me going through it all right I had to come over
that I was I was uh in a bad spot
and I've come over that completely I'm ready to go I'm rejuvenated
I got a fire lit under my ass again
and uh I'm ready to come back hard for you guys for me and
for my family so without further ado check out this trailer
and we'll see you very soon for a
camping video where i explain it all today we
have friend and fellow canoeing savant YouTuber
Joe Robinette, he is a survival bushcraft guy but more
so just a backcountry camper, he's built some
amazing shelters and he's an OG
when it comes to the outdoor YouTube world, hey guys how you doing
Joe here, I've only got a small backpack
on and inside that I only have four pieces of gear
I am Son and I'm here by myself left
my own devices in the middle of nowhere
yeah buddy I'm super excited for this video
for this project it's something I
wanted to do for
a really really
long time camping
off of a bike.
I don't remember
much from my
accident I don't remember much at all
from the days leading up or the accident
day it was just a normal day Friday afternoon
and we were having friends
over and he decided he wanted to get on his bike
I didn't put my helmet on
because I was just going around the block and I never made it back
It took 40 minutes for
an ambulance to get out to us because we were so remote
I waited for about three
hours before they let me in to see him
and they already had him completely sedated
Three weeks in a coma,
airlifted to multiple hospitals and permanent nerve
damage in my hand. I could have easily died. I could have easily been a
vegetable and I'm very blessed and very lucky to be here
Once I woke up and was
home for a couple days I started really focusing
on my career, my life, what I
could be losing, use of my hand, protecting my family, providing for my
family, playing with my children.
It has changed my life completely. We're
planning our first real big solo trip back this next May
one year from when I
have my big accident I want to plan
to do minimalistic small amount of gear on the way
in for about three four days set up in a bushcraft camp
for a few days with my dog natural shelter
try to catch some fish the problem ongoing
on a solo trip like this on a big solo trip is like
whether or not i'm gonna be able
to hack it you know what i mean can i paddle all day long
Can I tie my own shoes, can I set up camp,
can I set up a tarp, can I build a shelter?
I have no idea.
It's
not done.
Wilderness is absolutely everything.
My life, my livelihood, my family, everything depends on it.
I'm gonna go out and prove to everyone,
especially myself, that I can still do this ----.
