Fall is officially here and that means we
are on the clock before winter comes,
so we are checking out what people in Thunder Bay
are doing before the snow starts flying.
Winter time is coming, so how are you preparing for that?
I'm retired. I don't have to really prepare. It's just fun.
Winter is fun for you?
Yep, yep. I get out lots and I just got my knee done,
so now I'm going to get out even more this year.
Enjoy the weather as much as possible before it's too cold.
You know, go for runs, hikes,
maybe kayak a couple of times before the snow is here.
What do you like about fall?
What I like about fall? No mosquitoes.
I'm not a fan of shoveling either,
but we got to get ready for that too.
So we just want to get more outside and active as much as we can.
Because when it's too cold, it's not fun going outside.
Now, do you have a list of chores to do before the winter comes?
Well, my husband kind of does a lot of that.
He gets all the plants taken out and all of that.
He's already worked on that.
And so now he's just waiting for the snow to come too.
So, I mean, not that we want it anytime soon,
but that's what we do is just get everything ready,
get the plants taken out and things put away from the yard
and just prepare for the winter.
as you can see if sailing season is over it's time
to take the mast down and put the boat away for
the winter so you must be sad to be putting
this away for the last time this year yeah for about
what the 26th time 25th or 26th year yeah uh what
do i want to squeeze in just uh my yard work and
stuff right get everything all ready so not out in the cold
and uh put my car away and whatnot oh i
get my plow truck ready there's always something
right it's always something always something yeah
so but no it's good this time of year is my favorite time of year
because there's no bugs, the temperature
is good and look at the colors right
