Video Summary
AI GeneratedMorning show hosts discuss a viral video of a junk removal company returning debris to a non-paying customer, sparking a debate on financial ethics. The conversation expands to personal struggles with utility bills, the complexities of street solicitation and poverty, and the evolving role of former athletes like Jason Kelce in sports broadcasting.
Bam, Bill, Alex, and Mike, on the airwaves, giving what you like.
Topics on fleek, 11 o'clock.
BRM.
What's up, guys?
It's Bam.
The team is here, jumping into it.
All good?
Everybody's good?
Good, man.
Yeah?
You don't sound good, man.
It's a little laughing in my G energy.
Yeah, you know what I mean?
I wasn't here yesterday, so I'm warming up.
You know what I'm saying?
It's like getting back in the groove.
It's like my Monday on Bam.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, you didn't do your lotion.
I said, you didn't do your usual process.
I did it upstairs, though.
He's changing up on us.
He's hosting shows himself.
LeBron has the powder.
I know.
You got the lotion.
I got the lotion before the show.
People expect it.
And I thought about it.
Even when I was doing it, I was like,
I should just carry this downstairs with me.
I was like, nah, I'll just do it right here.
Yeah, people expect it.
Like Alex said.
LeBron was like, oh, no, no, I did the powder back in the locker room.
Right, right, right.
You ain't LeBron.
Like, what is going on here?
All right.
good to see everybody always great to have the team intact uh
so another one of those who's wrong
scenarios i feel like we actually have a couple
of those today might be some argument going on
today so there was a company apparently according to the post remember
when we did the story about
the guys who came back and got their fence yeah they posted
the fence they didn't get paid for it
they came back to get it apparently there was a junk removal company
who did their part and then
the person didn't want to
pay allegedly and this
is what happened out in
the clip what the trash
it was i don't know if we can go back
to that section of the video it looked like it was
construction debris it looked like to see like
the results like i wanted him to go back over there
Like, show me the mess that he left behind.
So a whole dumpster full of stuff there.
Alex, they don't follow the action.
Look at that.
It was not a professional photographer.
That's the problem when they gave everybody cameras.
Y'all don't really know what y'all doing out there, man.
So obviously it has sparked the debate that we will have.
That is our question of the day.
We will get to the social media question of the day,
find out what we think, find out what you think,
in 15 seconds.
At Quarter Madness,
we eat, sleep, and breathe
personal injury.
Our clients are our family
and we protect our family.
People can rely on us
as if they could rely
on a family member.
We know exactly what to do.
That's why people call us.
All right,
we might actually need them.
This might be a legal situation
to break this down.
All right,
when you see all of that,
who's wrong in this scenario?
I mean, you should have paid them.
Like, it's not a matter of who's right or wrong
You should have paid him
Like, there's consequences, man
And obviously the owner of this business was like
Look, you ain't paying me
I'm going to dump this stuff right back on your porch
We good
Leave it back in the yard
We good, we even now
Alright, are you on the side of the construction
Or the dumpster company?
I don't know
That's how I felt about the other one
It's like, I get it, you need to be paid
But then do you have to double pay?
Because you're still going to have to get that picked back up
So let's say you did that because you didn't get paid.
So then they pay for that.
But then it's still got to be picked back up.
Or will you come back once I pay you and pick it back up again,
which means you did twice the work.
You understand what I'm saying?
I understand.
It's strategic.
Follow the ball.
It's on principle.
Yeah, sometimes.
And odds are you're not calling me back anyway.
Well, that's true.
Right?
So then you have to pay twice.
You got to pay another company.
No, you're going to have to pay somebody else.
That's what I'm saying.
You pay twice.
That means you pay twice.
But you didn't pay twice because you didn't pay the first time.
Well, I'm assuming you'll pay.
Let's hope that they'll pick it back up once you pay them.
Nah.
All right.
I mean, they don't know.
They might.
If I don't pay you and then you come back,
you dump everything back in my yard, I'm not calling you back.
I'm already mad at you.
You're mad at me for not paying you,
and I'm mad at you for dumping it back in my yard.
Our relationship is over.
We can't fix this relationship.
There's no sense in me calling you back.
I'm calling another.
Now, the downside is he's probably going to pay more
because he's going to have to call another business,
Who he probably was like
You know what I'm saying
This dude wanted more
Than this other cat
But you should have
Paid him
And if it went viral
The other business is like
I know what happened
Last time
So I'm going to need
A little extra fee
On top of it
When we go through it
I don't know
I wish I had
Like that principle stance
I wish I could take
That principle stance
That Mike has taken
When like
Pico cut off my electric
You know
Or when the cable bill
Well Bill
Like what are you going to do
Go down and fight Pico
No
Like you can't
Be that principle or not
So I am acknowledging
that I've been the person in the past,
hopefully I'm more responsible now
as I got my credit score up,
I have been the person in the past
who didn't necessarily pay the bill on time.
Right.
Like, I was going to get to it.
Like, I was coming to you.
Sometimes I still don't pay them on time.
Right.
But once they get to threatening me,
I'm like, all right, all right, all right.
Because you don't want the
Shut off notice?
Yeah, right, right.
When I get the little red line across the Pico joint.
Stop doing that.
No, I still get them.
You just come.
You just pay your bill.
Does that hit your credit?
No.
It's only once they shut it off, but if they give you the notice,
like, oh, this is the last, it doesn't.
No, it only hits your credit if,
I can't believe I'm acknowledging that notice.
It only hits your credit if they shut it off
and it goes to collections.
It doesn't even hit your credit if they shut it off.
Really?
As long as you turn it back on.
It's just inconvenient for you to go back down there
and they make you pay all the fees to get it turned back on.
Oh, so you still got to pay money to get it back on.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Your credit's just okay.
Yeah, yeah.
And you got to pay more money to have it back on.
Then you got to pay the shut off fees.
The shut off fees and all that.
All that.
It's the inconvenience of it, but nah, I'll wait for the...
I've probably got a red line letter coming soon.
Yeah, you may or may not have to pay for them to dig up your front yard
if they shut certain utility bills off.
I may or may not have had to pay for that in my younger years
when I was trying to balance bills.
When you're in a relationship with someone,
as long as I've been in a relationship with Pico,
we're going to have ups and downs.
And there's going to be times I'm going to be mad at them,
they're going to be mad at me, but it's like a marriage.
You're like, we'll figure this out.
Is Pico understanding or is this more, is the burden more on you?
Are you working harder in the relationship or is Pico?
Well, I mean, we both have to work.
Pico's much more consistent.
Pico's way more consistent, right?
Because I'll be like, whatever.
And then they be like, yo, here's the yellow letter.
Here's the red letter.
They try to work it out.
They go to counseling.
They're sitting down, go through therapy.
What's the yellow?
That means you're just late.
The yellow is the warning.
That's like the yellow light.
You're late.
You're really, really late.
Like, you're late.
You're really, really, really late.
You're shut off late.
Then you get the shut off letter.
You know what I'm saying?
And then they're like, if you're having problems,
you can give us a call.
I'm like, the problem is I just don't want to pay y'all, man.
They're very committed in the relationship.
And we start off with them just as an example.
Not water company, all of them.
Yeah, all of them.
They will sit there and work with you.
But I don't really have the solution if I ain't got it.
So all of your nice talk and the multiple colored letters, they don't
necessarily fix the relationship if I don't have what you need from me.
They do talk to you like they don't want to turn it off.
Like, I don't want to leave this relationship.
Oh, that's sweet
I'm paying you, why would you want to leave this relationship
But you're not
That's how we got to this point
But we'll catch up
So going back to the story of the day
We both, and I think she's way too
Responsible for this conversation
Lynn did a way better job
Raising up
That's not true
You know he's watching, I heard you mention him earlier today
Yeah, he did weigh in
But now he's probably going to be jealous
Because we've replaced him with some other attorneys
we can still get a judge we got a half hour we get the second half
so what do people think about this i would think
that people with our experience would
would expect a little bit more patience
from the company dumping it in your yard i was gonna pay
you i just needed you to give me a minute
but just saying if it's you i'm dumping it you should
came back and dumped it that means they've already asked him
for their money they've been
very nice right they've been patient
or he was supposed to pay them in the moment because i got
i find it hard to believe they would have taken all that stuff
and left and not get paid before
they left you know what i'm saying
so he was supposed to pay them in the moment once everything
was removed he didn't pay him
so it's okay man, we're just gonna leave it here, there you go all
right, no more Mr. Nice Guy, that is our question
of the day, hit us up on social media and let us know
what you think, Renee says pay your bills
this is the only way that um they can get their property
and leave yours, like they've got to take
their thing back, Dr. Timothy, I get it, it could
have been handled a little bit differently
but I get it, like what's differently, doc
I don't know, Dr. Timothy's patient, he sends the different letters, he
hadn't gotten to it yet, I gotta get
to another job man, leaving this right here, Enzo says you
should have paid your bills, it's like a car
if you don't pay for it, it'll get repossessed, this
is a simple scenario, uh Kobe, ouch, I get the scenario
and people choose to handle situations
differently, I'm shaking my head
and Ladybug says that both are wrong, she falls right there in the
middle, now they're talking about me being adult pay
for services, Bill a Fox
let's go, that you bill, wait maybe they
were just asking me to talk about something else, I don't
No, they do come to me a lot, though
Being a dope, he'll pay your bills on time
Right, right.
That's probably from Pico
If the lights start flickering in here, that'll be something
Listen, this bill's not in my name
This ain't the one.
When I get the notification that my alarm is not currently online,
that's how I know it got shut off.
Right.
Quick break, and we will be right back.
That's our first Who's Wrong in this scenario.
We've got another one coming up after the break.
How would you handle this?
Stay tuned.
And, bam, we'll break it down.
Alex and Mike on the airwaves giving what you like.
Topics on fleek, 11 o'clock every day.
Yeah, good relationship with the utilities now, more or less.
We worked through some things.
It took a minute for us to get to that point.
But now it's a loving, balanced relationship.
So who's wrong?
We had the first one.
Don't they have a no shut-off rule in the winter or something?
In the winter, yeah.
Well, it depends.
Don't go say that
Oh my god
Oh they can't get me
Till April
I'm good
Oh my god
A lot of people say that
Don't be working the system
You're ruining it
For everybody else
Why
They get their money
Eventually
Cause if you're
You know abusing it
Then they might take it away
That's not abuse
Nah so they won't
Shut it off
And then you work out
A payment plan
Right
See I know
How to do all this
From back in the day
Now I try to pay the bill
They're like yo
You gotta pay this
I'm like man
I got till April
Last week at March
right start calling
so what do i need to give you to keep this thing going
we're professionals like
this is late i don't know anyway all right so all of this ties into
a challenging economy that we are all living
in right now midterm elections are coming up people
are saying affordability economy it's
the number one thing that people are focused on right now
so a person has gone viral for their interaction
with a unhoused individual who asked them for
course of money. Here's how it went.
Hi, how are you doing? Can I get a dollar? I wish I had a
dollar, man. I work every day. I work over 40 hours a week.
Uncle Sam still takes all my money
and gives it to people that don't want to work.
What the **** is that all about? Where am I supposed
to get a dollar? Huh? I'm asking you where?
Where am I supposed to get a dollar? I work all week.
I don't have a dollar. I got to buy bread that's on sale
because it's day old. See that day old
bread because i don't have a dollar waiting all
right so the person who asked for the dollar was
the one recording that's what i was trying
to figure out like you had a cell phone and you
ain't got a dollar and they had
to post it i guess all right they got internet posted it it's not it's
a working phone right like i mean maybe you just have wi-fi it might
be at this point or it's ai
but right yeah everything or it's a skit people right
or it's a skit but i've seen people like
you know, unhoused with cell
phones. Like, it's, you know,
they can find a wall with an outlet, plug it in,
charge it up. You know what I'm saying?
That's more common than you would think.
There's a lot of unhoused individuals.
Who fell off the things that he was charging his phone
a few years, a few months back.
They fell off the bridge or fell in the river.
I mean, he died, but he was up
there charging his phone. You know what I'm saying?
They found an outlet. So, but
yeah, my question was more about, like, yo, you
recording this? Like, you asking me for a
dollar and you recording it it's valid right now does
that lead to you being more on the side of
the person who's not coming up with the money
who that somebody is sitting there with a cell phone
right asking you for money look man it's tough
out here bill you know what i'm saying and look
a lot of people are scraping this ground to get by every day man
and you know and it's a lot of
people asking for money in the street if you stop
and give a dollar to everybody who asks you for
money you won't eat you know what i'm saying like between here
and my crib if i stop and give a
dollar to everybody who's saying
who's standing in the middle of the street with a sign you know
what i'm saying like so i get where homeboy
is coming from it's like yo i go to work i'm working
40 hours a week man no i don't have a dollar to give you man
because i'm struggling to get by too
man but at least i'm still getting up
and getting out in this world and going and trying to make an
effort it's such a challenging discussion like they posting it
in social media and the validity
of the video aside for a second the the topic i agree
with you it's it's so challenging because
my gut is generally to just to try if i have it to give it to somebody
or in certain circumstances
i won't give people cash but i'll buy food
or or buy whatever but times are tough right now
and so I agree with you like there is
there are several situations where
people have had the discussion like
like I'm going out there working
all of these extra hours to give
you money couldn't you be doing it
as well now that removes the
which is always challenging
these types of topics that mental health challenges
disability correct
yeah right so not everybody who
is out there or even most people who are out
there are out there by choice
some people are out there by circumstance
But how do you determine who's who?
And that's the problem, right?
And listen, I give every now and again, too, man.
But you don't know who's who.
You don't know who's struggling.
You don't know who just decided this is what I'm going to do.
You know what I'm saying?
And so what do you do?
You know, you got to use discretion.
You give when you can or when you feel it.
But other times, like he caught my man at a bad time.
Wrong day.
You know what I mean?
Wrong day.
He just went in there and bought day-old bread because he broke.
And he come walking out the store and you hit me.
As soon as I come out the door, can I get a dollar?
I'm like, yo, I get it.
I hate when they're standing outside the convenience store.
And I walk out the door, and they're like,
yo, man, you got any spare change?
I'm like, yo, man, why don't you go in there and put in an application?
Well, and I don't think in today's society,
I don't think any change is spare.
Right.
People are like, do you have any extra money?
No, I don't have any extra money.
I might try to help with the money that I have.
None of this is extra.
I might be able.
None of this is spare.
You might need a sandwich.
I might be able to provide a sandwich
or help out because I know what it's like when they shut off
your utilities but with that being
said like no I don't have any extra
money
it was a challenging one I think dude probably went
a little too far in his expression
but you get it you know when people are coming
out having a tough day, message is received
right he was like he
probably just had the conversation himself
at home like yo dad I gotta pay
this I gotta take care of this I gotta do this
and I gotta go get some food like
let me go on down here and get myself
a little can of tuna fish and some bread
so I can get through my week.
K.O. bread.
Right.
And then he walk out of the door and he's like, he gets hit with this.
So I get where he's coming from, man.
It's tough, man.
Like a lot of cats are struggling, man.
The struggle is real.
Somebody just hit us up on social media.
I'm a social worker.
Cell phones and service are offered for free if you qualify.
And they actually posted the link onto social media
for people who need them.
The Medicaid SNAP SSI
situation that they posted
So thank you
For the information
Because then maybe you can pay Pico
I'm paying for these joints
Daughter's wife
I got a lot of cell phones on my phone
What's the cut off
Right
We're about to cut this off
But which number
Are you getting ready to cut off
I'm going to need this one to stay on.
That's all I got to keep on.
The other is I got an extra week before I can figure it out.
Quick break and we'll be right back on BAM.
She's putting all her business out in the street.
We'll be back.
Alex and Mike on the airwaves giving what you like.
Topics on fleek.
11 o'clock every day.
All right, BAM, jumping back into the discussion at hand.
We've had some challenging topics today as we try to figure it out.
And it's got people all over online jumping into the topics,
letting us know their feelings and their feedback.
So keep commenting.
Hit us up on social media.
Mike needs 62 people.
Yo, come on, man.
Let's get to this 8,000, yo.
62 people.
We've been in this game for a lot of years.
At Mike Greenidge.
Green, I-D-G-E.
Yo, man, just hop on, man.
What do I need?
I need a lot to get to the next one.
Take your boyfriend's phone.
Take your husband's phone.
And just follow.
Cousin's phone.
Just hit follow on that.
At Mike Greenidge.
just get everybody all up on it all right
so i feel like there's all kinds of stuff going on
we've got another viral tip culture video
but i actually have a pause on that for just a second
because i'm looking at another one on the notes
and i know that we are all uh jason kelsey what
fans appreciate the kelseys
and what have you did you see that he's getting criticism now because
jason kelsey now works for network he does football games
and and he did the eagles game
this past weekend apparently there was criticism from both fans
and management and a talking to
him because he refers to the eagles as we
and they said that he is it is bias presentation and
bias announcer and so they're like we're working really hard
to try to stop him from saying we
and the other fans have taken issue with it.
Valid criticism?
It's valid, but, you know.
He does say we a lot, and Philly fans, I think, love it.
Right.
It's so interesting that they set him up this way, though,
because it's like if he's – because,
of course, he's been a part of the network,
but he was at the desk.
And so if he's doing color commentary and calling the games,
you'd think you'd start him off with another team.
But they clearly wanted Jason Kelsey to do it because it's the Eagles.
But then you get mad at him for using we,
even though you were the one
who placed him on the game with the Eagles,
knowing that this is his first time doing the call.
So it's like, if you wanted to set him up to succeed,
why not have him do Pittsburgh Steelers
versus somebody else or something
and then eventually get to Eagles?
But I have to feel like it's a little intentional
that they wanted him to call the Eagles game.
I think they wanted the we.
You have to.
If you want somebody who has inside perspective on that game
and that's what you bring to the table, plus it's Jason Kelsey.
What did you think he was going to do?
I guess you think of Tony Romo and stuff.
His first game that he called, was it a Cowboys game?
I don't know.
No, and he also was out for a while
before he started calling games, right?
And I think he's just learned, though.
You know what I'm saying?
He was a member of that team until he retired.
You know what I'm saying?
He wasn't a journalist.
You know what I'm saying?
So this whole idea of no cheering from the press box,
like, that's his team.
You know what I'm saying?
So it's learned culture.
Like, he'll get there.
But you would think they would teach, because
I know that there are some former players.
The NFL does have a broadcast boot camp
that they put former players in to get them ready and do that.
So you'd think they'd cover that.
But, I mean, you can hear something.
And still, if it's so ingrained in you for years,
it can be hard to, like, switch it off like that.
But I know they definitely put them through some sort of boot camp
because I know some people have gone through it.
And I think it's fun to see.
Look at them sitting there learning how to do things.
He'll get there.
I am now a broadcaster.
I'm a journalist now.
And they get jobs.
Listen, I feel like most of the announcers now are – well, not most.
Athletes are dominating.
It's almost 50-50.
Athletes, yeah.
And it is interesting to hear because they've been on, you know,
the sidelines, they've been on the field.
They can give you more insight.
I just don't – and I guess, again,
because it was so close to his retirement
that he now has gone – he's still actively involved with the Eagles.
He's still coming in, going to practices.
He still lives here.
I guess – and I'm an Eagles fan.
So I guess the whole we doesn't bother me as much.
But it doesn't really bother me.
like I think Troy Aikman was was great at his announcing
and it was years from him being
Cowboy but but it doesn't bother me
when he tells the stories about you know in the huddle with the
Cowboys and here's what we would
do and here's how we would handle it he's he's always a Cowboy
but that's different that's telling in the past
and that applies because it's saying when he was
a Cowboy this I think it was like Jason
was like oh we lost the ball on that one we need to get in
and do this. That's different than
like, oh, when I was there, we did this.
I don't care. I think there was a fumble
and he was like, ooh, we shouldn't have done that or something.
Because I'm an Eagles fan.
If it was somebody else, it might be. Like Mike
Tomlin, everyone's loving his, and he's
doing this for the first season, I think.
If he were to be like, if it were a Steelers
game against the
Eagles, how would we feel? We'd be like, we need
to do better. We really could have done that.
I don't know. I don't know if people would.
Yeah, you'd have had it as part of a,
you'd have had it as a bit of bam time.
It would have been a moment, a question of the day.
We in the Pet Party game?
No, it would have been a question of the day.
It would have been on the other side of every freaking thing.
I don't know.
I'm thinking about it.
We know you're not petty, Bill.
I am absolutely petty.
I'm asking if the Eagles would have lost.
And I don't dispute that.
I think that my expectation for commentators,
like I watch the Manning cast.
Now, the difference is they have made the Manning cast,
Peyton and Eli, into it is commentary.
you know so they're not technically calling the game
but they're absolutely homers you know who
sit there on a national level and talk about their teams
and Eli says we all the time when he's
talking about the Giants it doesn't bother me
I just don't have I don't expect him to be an
unbiased journalist right you just gotta accept
it it doesn't I don't care and yes I'm bothered
me enough I think the fact that they
are formerly you know played for these teams and they're
discussing them they are we got
a break before we get out of here yeah I got fired up
And we're
out.
It's just that simple.
Thank you so much for watching.
But keep watching because Good Day Uncut starts right now.
And then we're gone.
Great stuff.
