Spring Trout Camp Part II. Waterfalls, Fish and Epic Weather.

Good dog. You're a good boy. I almost just ran off on these two guys. You're okay. It's okay. Stay. We're at a decent sized waterfall, Cowan Falls. And there's a nice drop off here. So even Tosh is portaging this one. We're too far by the boats down and put him in instead of portaging around real cool spot though Comfortable pillow fish. What's it fish? Oh she gone. She gone. It was a good fish Well, that wasn't too bad. I got this nice fish. We're gonna eat. I got this nice fish We're gonna eat. Yeah, these two smaller fish We're gonna eat all over that hole for trout in like five or six casts so that was pretty cool this one the first one i showed you here is the biggest one of the trip so far by quite a bit so i've got some corn and and beans green beans and corn i'm gonna rehydrate tonight and then i'll do the fish and eat that with that share some tosh if he wants it and wolf there's plenty to go around very happy very happy we're gonna love this river the old sandy river right the old freaking sandy river that was a sweet little snack spot hung out there for 15 you know and we're gonna make a push to Lady Evelyn Falls in a little bit of research for this trip we both heard that there's a couple nice sights there on the portage to Lady Evelyn or on Lady Evelyn so we're gonna try that that it's uh we're at Colwyn Falls now so it's a it's a decent ways away but that actually puts us in a good spot for tomorrow too to get out we booked five nights i didn't know we didn't know definitely not even rushing and two and a half days well two nights for sure that's a bush plane bud smell something in there don't you he's down in there he smells some bugs getting to you bud coming out aren't they all squared away a lot of black flies bug spray on for the first time this here i got this musk dog spray i cooked that trout up gosh got a nice fire going together i've got a few Wolf too decent size black flies are gonna be like 30 black flies oh they'd be like like like trojan horse trojan horse black but i think like black flies are claustrophobic or something yeah every time you get in the car they like go to the window same yeah with the tent wolfie won't eat it for some reason so i got this on the fire for a couple seconds he will eat it now i'm sure of it i'm gonna blow up my mattress and stuff but this guy's ko'd have i mentioned how happy i am with him and this trip and today really great really really really great all right folks i'm gonna go to bed it's uh it's bright 9 45 i got this uh sweet little flashlight hanging a little disco ball action going on plenty of room for wolfie and me boy good boy you did a good job today little andypaws Smokes it turned out to be epic Prince yesterday comes a couple from not just anyone Just woke up We had I had wolf on we knew there's people here because the last time we came to take this spot Saw people here left. I had wolf on the leash just in case I didn't want him coming and rummaging through your stuff Try to get your tent stuff like it looks fine you guys have a good run yeah then they look too my boat good that spot how's that pemmican treating you i inhaled mine about an hour ago you're a good boy wolf wolfy Wolf or Rooney, big normie, ignore me completely, don't look at me no matter what, pee pee poo poo food treats snack sit good boy here's up Sandy sandy site we're almost I just I got a handful left but we'll be at the car probably a few hours still wolf somewhere, somewhere not to be found speak of the wolfie, well we're coming up to the last portage and the rain started so that's all right we did pretty good on the weather, just sprinkling now but it seems like it's gonna pick up we're gonna have to do a little shuttle across and Tasha is gonna stay with both the truck the the canoes I had to get the truck and drive it up a separate road so that we don't have to Portage like three kilometers down to the cars So hopefully that all works out. I'll take Wolfie with me. There's a big drop There's the last waterfall last portage here Big old drop and we're switching sides for this one Because the hiking trail is on the other side of the river and the road is up here And I'll I'll get Tasha shuttle me back over to that side and Wolfie and I'll hike the trail because it's uh as the crow flies it's shorter and it'll be nicer than walking on the road and then i won't have to walk on the road to get back to the truck type thing on the highway this says Sand River 129 distance 135 the end says the end it says the end i've never seen that okay good boy the end just rolling three deep you know three deep in the canoe getting sent around this waterfall no it do go down it do go down you ever see that video that's some legit water it's pretty much over from here amazing trip we literally booked five nights not knowing what the variables were hearing about reports people doing it in four or five nights type thing so anyways better safe than sorry but we did it in two started at 11 or 12 a couple days ago and it's noon now i'm gonna take wolfie and i a little bit to get back to the car and then drive back to Tasha hopefully the road is open the whole nine yards adds a little bit more of an adventure to it but like i said extremely happy with this trip extremely happy with wolf how he acted um in the rapids getting hung up on rocks catching fish um seeing those moose very close up i think it's gonna work out i think he's gonna work out as a canoe buddy um i'm really i was so scared you know because a tripper but anyway very good time and i think i'm gonna have to get out with wolfie for a longer period of time just him and i maybe about a week or something like that up north Wabakimi somewhere like that and uh he doesn't like the bugs he does not like the bugs but you know i think that he would given the choice excuse me he would rather deal with the bugs and be out here with me than be at home with no bugs you know he's so independent you know he's just off doing his own thing and don't really have to worry about him doesn't bark at people doesn't get startled by things he will take your food he will certainly take your food hey bud coming to check on me that's my good boy that's a good boy one you're good boy there you go he made it buddy no parking ticket
