And the search is on right now for a local woman who disappeared in Huron Township.
Police say Kimberly McGrath vanished on Saturday evening following a car crash.
Fox News' Jamie Sharad now live with the latest on this search, Jamie.
Yeah, Charlie. The family making the drive to Huron Township,
passing out flyers like this, hoping it will help find Kimberly.
I want to show you the aftermath of that crash. Take a look.
This is the tree that her car landed on top of, completely knocked down.
You can see glass and remnants of the vehicle on top of that tree.
We do want to show you a closer look at the missing woman in case you see her.
This is Kimberly McGrath. She is from Southgate.
Her car discovered in this backyard here in Huron Township.
Her purse was also found in that car, but she is nowhere to be found.
Now her family is begging people to say something
if they know anything to help find her. Take a listen.
Honestly, we we know so little.
That's what's so alarming, because this is not like Kim.
Kim has no history of like crashing her car and and running away,
or even just running away. She always tells us where she is.
I think she was coming down.
Hit that tree, maybe startled her, or, or, in my mind,
seeing the scrape on the tree, possibly wanted to correct,
and it just took her over towards that tree. She is experiencing some anxiety,
but other than that, you know, nothing so extreme that we expected this to happen.
What do you think happened here? Do you think she was by herself?
Do you think she crashed her car and ran?
If she was in the car, we're not aware that she had any boyfriend.
If she had an argument, we are not sure who it would have been with.
We don't have any real evidence of of any type of injury or or anything for sure.
But we know that she hasn't been seen since, and we know that in cases like this.
Three days is a long time, and and we're fortunate right.
Here on Township Police, encouraging the community to check their ring cameras,
check their property in case they see her or have any video evidence of where she
was last seen. And they do want Kimberly McGrath to know that they are not planning
to press any charges. They just want to make sure that she's found safe.
And those are the family's hopes as well, Charlie.
Thanks, sir. Number one, does she have any ties to Huron Township?
And and also, could you just take that camera and just pan it out from the tree?
I mean, it looks like you're in the woods.
There's somewhere that it'd be really hard for her to disappear.
Go back, get bigger. What's all around it? There you go.
So yeah, Charlie, back there you see a lot of trees. So it is a woody area,
but there's also a river with some strong currents back here as well.
This is where police were out earlier today.
Ever since she's gone missing, they've been checking the rivers,
they've been checking the woods. But yes, this is the backyard area
of a few homes on the 18,000 block of Hanan Road in Huron Township.
We talked to her family and a friend who were out here searching for her today.
They say there is a park, Huron Metro Park.
She likes to come out here, walk the parks, go for a hike, enjoy that solitude.
And her cousin believes she also could have been door dashing out here.
So that's what they believe brought her here to Huron Township,
even though she's from Southgate. Charlie.
All right, a lot of territory to cover there, though.
That looks like a vast area. All right, Jamie, thanks for that report.
