Here's my easy real-life recipe to make pizza look as great as it does in Yo-Kai Watch 3. This is the first of many Yo-Kai Watch 3 pizza recipes, so stay tuned for more.
For starter: 1 cup water 1 cup flour 2 1/4 tsp yeast
Rest of the dough: 1 TBL olive oil 1 3/4 cups flour 1 tsp salt
For red sauce: 1 can tomato paste 2 cans water 1 1/2 tsp pizza spice 1/2 tsp brown sugar 1/4 onion, grated 1 garlic cloves, minced Salt, to taste
For Pizza Margherita: Olive oil Fresh basil Mozzarella cheese
First, make the starter: In a small bowl, mix water and yeast. Whisk in flour. Cover and allow to get foamy, about 30 minutes.
Add your starter to the mixing bowl of your stand mixer. Add olive oil, salt, and most of your flour. You may not need it all. Mix using the dough hook until smooth and elastic, and the dough pulls from the sides, about eight minutes. Kneed dough into a ball on a floured surface. Spray no-stick spray in a large bowl. Place dough in the bowl, spray again, cover, and allow to rise 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.
When dough is done, punch it down on a floured surface. Slice into six equal or so pieces. Roll each into a ball. Roll each piece out until it’s about 8 inches in diameter. You can roll them out into any size or shape you like, though.
Cook in a non-stick pan over medium high heat, a few minutes each side. Place on a plate to cool completely. Store pizza discs in a zip top bag and store in the fridge for a week or two, or the freezer for a few months.
For red sauce: Place tomato sauce in a medium microwave safe bowl. Fill the can your paste came in with water. Add it to the bowl and whisk to loosen up the sauce. Then, add another can of water. Add pizza spice, brown sugar, garlic, and onion. Stir to combine and cover loosely. Microwave for 3 minutes. Stir, then microwave another 3 minutes. Then, add salt to taste. Place in a mason jar and allow to cool slightly before lidding up and storing in the fridge.
To assemble a Margherita Pizza: Preheat your toaster oven as high as it will go. Place your pizza disc on a cast iron pan. Brush it with olive oil. Spread on a few tablespoons of sauce, leaving the crust exposed near the edge. Add thin mozzarella slices. Bake for 8 or so minutes, depending on your oven. Place pan on the stove over medium heat to crisp up the crust, if you like. Slice and serve.

You don't have to be a monster to like,
Margarita Pizza!
The dough starts with some water,
and a little bit of yeast.
Stir in a little
bit of flour.
Cover it, and let it get foamy.
It'll take about 30 minutes.
Cool!
Now, add your starter to the mixing bowl of your stand mixer.
Add some olive oil, and salt.
Then, work in some flour.
You might not need all of it, so reserve some.
Alright, start your mixer.
It'll be done once it pulls away from the side of the bowl,
and the dough is pillowy soft.
more flour if it needs it.
You can do this by hand by the way, I'm just lazy. Alright,
now flour a surface and roll your dough into a taut ball.
Tuck the dough under itself like this.
Spray a bowl with no-stick spray.
Plop on the dough, cover,
and allow to rise about 2 hours
or until doubled in size.
Alright, flour a surface again. Punch down your dough,
and then slice into 6 or so equal pieces.
It doesn't have to be exact. Take one of your
rounds and pat it down into a flat disk.
Then, roll it out with a rolling pin. Only work in
two directions so you don't end up with an oblong.
Honestly, they don't have to be perfect circles
though, unless you want them to be.
It should be around eight inches in diameter when you're done,
but they can be as thick or as thin as you like.
Pop your discs onto a non-stick surface and cook
over medium-high heat. Cook a few minutes each side.
You can use tongs to flip them, but I've
made a ton of these, so I'm going to use my hands.
When you're done, you'll have six pizza discs that
let you make pizza in minutes.
Once they're cool, store them in a Ziploc bag and keep them in the
fridge for a few days. Or you can freeze them for a few months.
Let's make some sauce. My recipe is
so easy, I can make it in the microwave.
Grab a can of tomato paste. Apologies in advance to all
of the known as watching.
Empty the can into a medium microwave safe bowl. Then fill the empty
can with water. Whisk it in to loosen it up.
Then you can add another can of water.
Add some pizza
spice. It's got herbs and a little bit of red pepper flake.
A little sugar. A minced garlic
clove and some onion that you grated, you know,
like cheese. Cover your bowl. If you don't have
one of these handy microwave lids, cover it in plastic.
If you don't, you will be sad and your
microwave will be a red mess. Nuke it for three minutes.
Careful, it's hot. Stir it, cover it again
and nuke for three more minutes. Then you can add salt to taste.
It's done. Place it in the mason
jar and allow it to come to room temp before you lid it up
and keep it in the fridge. Now we're
ready to make pizza. Place a pizza disc on an oven-safe surface.
I use cast iron, you'll
see why soon. Brush the top with olive oil,
then flip it and brush it with more olive
oil. Add a couple of tablespoons of your pizza sauce
and spread it to the edges, leaving
the crust exposed. Now top it with sliced cheese.
Leave some of the sauce peeking out.
Pop it into your toaster oven
and turn it up as high as it goes. Bake for 8 minutes
or more, depending on your oven.
Keep an eye on it, it's kind of mesmerizing.
When you're
done, plop it on the stove.
See, it's a little bit blonde on the bottom, and pizza should always be
crunchy. If you use the cast iron pan,
you can just put it on the stove and cook it on medium
heat for a minute or two, until it gets nice and crispy.
See? Just before serving, add a few fresh
basil leaves. Then, you can slice it up
and eat it while it's still hot.
Margarita pizza is yummy.
I've got plenty of pizza discs here
