Summer-like warmth today in the Bronx ahead of afternoon showers

News around the corner. Yes, unfortunately we are going to have to enjoy today as much as we can because we do have some big changes along the way that are going to just put a rain on our fun parade, but it feels like summer for today. We've had pretty much every season for this week and that's going to be the real theme for us even heading into the weekend. Now today we're going to see temperatures near the upper 70s close to 80 degrees, but for tomorrow it will get cooler already, but be prepared for Friday to have not only just some rain opportunities, but on top of it, it's going to get a bit windy as well as we head towards Friday night but as of right now it doesn't look like it's going to be raining all day long for us across our Friday but definitely have several opportunities for us to see shower activity early in the morning and back into the afternoon and then once again as we get closer towards our Friday evening so that's why we're going to keep a close eye on how this is going to be developing over the next day or so but just be mindful by the time we get to our Friday we are looking for a frontal system that's going to make some big changes for us across the board some scattered rain showers potentially a thunderstorm or two and on top of it we could see some gusts by the time we get to our Friday night into Saturday of 30 to 40 miles per hour. So late for our Saturday night into Friday is when we're going to be seeing the multiple opportunities for us to see shower activity and especially with a thunderstorm. But again, it doesn't look like it's going to be all day long. But for today, however, over in Melrose, you can see that temperatures are already quite mild to start off. And we'll see those jumping up towards the middle and upper 70s as we get closer to the afternoon. But 79 degrees in Norwood and 78 in Parkchester as well.
