Beach life is the best way to learn English.
Today, you will learn English easily. You guys
know I love traveling
and I love teaching English.
So here's another slow English vlog for you guys.
And this is not a boring English lesson, but I am
certain you will learn something new through this
video. I went on a trip with my friends to La Paz.
La Paz is a beautiful city in Baja California Sur
in the northwest of Mexico. And I think it's famous
for its calm crystal clear waters and
beautiful beaches. We flew to get there
and the beaches were unreal.
I had never seen anything
like this but let me show you from the beginning
so on a Friday morning we boarded our flight to
La Paz it was around 5:00 a.m.
when we boarded it was very early
and we were very tired but on
On the bright side,
on the positive side, we got to see
the sun rise over the horizon.
It was stunning, so beautiful.
As we were about to land,
I got to see some of the islands
and peninsulas around La Paz.
I was so excited to land.
We finally landed and we went to claim our luggage
on the conveyor belt for our flight.
Then we took a taxi to our home.
We didn't rent an Airbnb.
We stayed at our friend's house,
which was so generous of her.
We were so hungry.
So we walked to a restaurant called Fish Taco or Taco Fish.
I think it was Fish Taco.
And I had a really good fish taco and half a burrito,
but even half was too much.
I was so full after.
Then, I didn't have anything else to do,
so I walked myself to the pier.
And I watched the sun.
I walked past the kiosk onto the pier,
and I got a pretty nice view
of the sunset.
Then I walked around. I explored a little bit,
just walking around on the sand, looking at the
waves. The waves were so small.
The sand was very rough, not soft, rough.
I love listening to the
water, watching the birds pass by while I watch
the seagulls fly away. I like to watch the seagulls
fly past into the sunset.
There was even a man fishing.
Do you know how to fish? I don't, but
I really want to learn how.
Then as I walked back to the kiosk,
I found an empty bench. A free bench
for me to sit on. I had
the perfect view to watch the sun set.
Then my friends met up with me and
we watched the sunset together.
Then we got dinner.
We ordered some nachos with guacamole
and a michelada.
What's your favorite dinner to order
when you're at the beach? Then we slept
and the next morning we had some sandwiches for breakfast.
My friends went to a coffee shop
to work while I walked
to the kiosk to record a video.
The video you saw last week
was the video
I went to record that day.
Once I finished recording, I walked back to the coffee shop
where my friends were working and I worked for a little
while until we got hungry and we decided
to go get some food.
I got a tuna tostada, which is like
a hard shell tortilla with fresh tuna
and cucumber and fresh ingredients.
So my friend's glasses would
always fog up when he would go
from being inside the cool car to outside where it
was very humid and hot. So his glasses would
fog up and it was really funny.
We stopped the car while we were driving because the sunset
looked amazing. We walked down to the beach
and we took our first swim in La Paz.
I was expecting
cold water. I love cold water, cold oceans,
but it was really warm, really warm water.
I was a little disappointed, but hopefully
next time I go, I'll go during the winter
so that the ocean is cold.
We drove back home and we watched the sunset again.
And that night we had dinner at home.
We had an improvised dinner.
We just threw some ingredients together
and we ate dinner and it was really good.
How often do you make an improvised dinner?
A dinner without planning.
The next morning, we got some groceries at the store
and we picked up some coffee.
an amazing coffee shop in La Paz. What was it called?
I'll look it up and I'll put the name
here. But they made this incredible salty
honey latte and another salty honey matcha.
And both were amazing. They even put these little dates.
Dates look like big raisins,
but they're called dates they put a big date covered
in chocolate it was the best coffee
i've ever had any latte for miss
Honey, here you go. Thank you. We
went there two days in a row. No,
actually three, three days in a row. Amazing
coffee. Anyways, we drank our coffee and we went
to the beach. I did some headstands here. We swam
and we read for a little bit, and then it was time
to get dinner. We went to an amazing place. I
also forget the name, but I'll show you guys here
with really good sushi, some of the best sushi I've ever had
and then we went to sleep because
the next day we had
a very big day ahead of us. We
were going to hike to get to a beach
and just chill at the beach all day long.
We made sandwiches the night before
And we head out around 6 a.m.
We hiked up a very tall hill or mountain
and we found a woman
who was hiking the same mountain
but her foot was completely backwards.
She had twisted her ankle while climbing
the mountain and she was in serious pain.
So my two friends, my two male friends,
helped her to make it up the hill.
They called the ambulance and the ambulance came to pick her up.
But it was a very crazy beginning to a beautiful day, honestly.
we finally made our way carefully down
the mountain we walked through this muddy lake
like our feet were getting stuck
in the mud. It was really scary
but finally we got to this beach
and it was stunning, beautiful, gorgeous. It
was a rocky beach with crystal clear water
we set up our little umbrella for the tiny piece
of shade that we had and we literally just
swam and sunbathed all day long.
We ate our sandwiches.
We had our snacks. We took lots
of photos. And then before the sunset,
we hiked up the mountain again and we watched the sunset.
Then we got into the car and we drove to get
dinner again at the same place because we really
liked it. The next morning we had a safari.
A safari is where you go around and you see animals
in a boat with other people.
We saw some beautiful blue water,
some very beautiful orange
mountains or plains, I guess.
And I saw sea lions for the first time.
They were so fat.
I think that was my favorite part.
I was so tired after that. We got
a gelato and we just went back
home. We chilled and we went to sleep. The next morning,
we got our favorite coffee one last time
and then we head to the airport.
We had to catch our flight and that was it.
That's the end of our
trip to La Paz. Tell me, what's your favorite place
to travel to when you only have two or three days
to travel or a vacation, where do you go?
A place that's close by, just an hour flight or
a three-hour drive where you disconnect from all
your problems and you just enjoy. Tell me about it
in the comments. Be sure to like this video
