Okay, it is New York Bridal Fashion Week,
where designers from all over the world
unveil their latest wedding gowns.
Joining us this morning, world-renowned designer,
Penina Tournay, her latest collection is called Eden.
Okay, why Eden? Why are we going,
is it, you know, like, because it's temptation?
It's also temptations, it's also good vibes,
and we need good vibes in this world.
And you know how I am, I always try to bring down
as much beauty to the world
so these dresses are particles of Eden to make this world a better
place i love it can we see your inspiration let's let's see
your first model yes jade is going to
walk out oh my goodness that is stunning it's it's made
of a raw silk yeah with this beautiful
shine. And all these flowers
that you see are all handmade.
Wow. And pickups.
That is quite a statement.
They're super hot right now. They're very in.
So all these flowers, it gives you that
even vibe. The flowers are stunning.
Yes. And the bolero.
And the bolero could come out?
A lot of flowers. And the bolero
can come off? Yes, for dancing.
To dance. Fantastic.
What about the rest of the skirt?
Does it come out? Because you know these brides
now they they need like several changes
so this is a two-piece and brides asked me to create like a
short skirt or a mermaid skirt for them to wear after their ceremony
so that's the advantage with
that is right and this is one of the first dresses
that you showed last night was last
night your big fashion show
my big fashion show we slept three hours and came right here
Sorry, Penina, but thank you.
It was the biggest show ever.
I showed 36 dresses.
It was really insane, but the crowd was screaming.
Oh, so beautiful.
I've been to your fashion shows.
Thank you so much.
Can we see your next model?
I've been to your fashion shows.
They are like you're in a beautiful dream,
and you don't want to wake up.
Yeah.
This, wow.
She's wearing my butterfly dress, a blush.
I love the color, color yes, and it's all hand dyed
so i'm really crazy when i want a certain tone
i don't care if it exists
or not i will make it happen i'm sure i'm sure the lace underneath the
tulle this is a silk tulle
and the butterflies are custom made from feathers very romantic very idyllic
It is so gorgeous.
I mean, you definitely feel very ethereal when you see this.
Ethereal when you see this.
Are brides wearing different colors now?
They are.
Are they not just always going with white?
Oh, colors are in.
You know, what I love right now is that there is no trend.
There's a trend of not following trends.
Got it.
And each bride wants to be unique.
And my brides want to be part of the creation process.
process the creative process
and therefore the sky is the limit it's fantastic gorgeous thank
you so much let's see your next bride-to-be yes they all walked
the runway yes i know it's been
they're probably all tired from last night right
oh sparkle sparkle yes alice is my so all of these
beautiful models are new to me i just
and you know i always have the same model yes and this
year, I kind of stepped out of my comfort zone,
and these models are just insanely beautiful.
And your clothes are just gorgeous. Thank you.
Now, is that for the ceremony or the party? I
would say that's for the party. That's for the party.
That's like a good second dress.
It has that kind of, you know, art deco vibe.
Yes. Which I love. These laces hand-beaded all
over with crystals and it's got a lot of movement
when you start dancing so fringes are also super
in fashion right now everything
is fringes fringes yeah oh this is spectacular gorgeous
thank you so much thank you my love
and uh last but not least last but not least
i i got a little peek before this is so over
the top very victorian wow very regal
and kind of daring you know so red
and white i was about to say red on your wedding yes what does
that mean that means passion that okay it's
not like a scarlet letter is it no it isn't no no
oh it's spectacular very romantic very very feminine i love i think red
is even sexy it's
sexy color it is this is an italian silk organza
that is custom printed for me so i create you know
the look that i want right and and it's made for me
which makes it very very unique wow and
especially one of a kind for my brides to wear it
is it is really a statement piece and gorgeous
and you're still doing the jewelry too
that you can coordinate we have all the accessories that match the
dresses everything is you know made to perfection head
to toe you know head to toe Panina at
Kleinfeld right only my couture line is only
at Kleinfeld exclusively for Kleinfeld and we're
we're celebrating almost 22 years, congratulations
marriage i would say because i'm kind of married
to Kleinfeld i know you are and i i've seen you
in action i've been to Kleinfeld uh my daughter-in-law
got a Panina dress and i have to say they love
her there i mean i've never seen anything like it
the fans from all over the country come
but to get your designs not only that i mean Kleinfeld
is my family and i adore being there
and that's why i'm there every every other month for 22 years
it's a it's a great place i got my dress
at Kleinfeld many moons ago when they were in
Brooklyn but now they're in Manhattan
but i gotta talk to you you have a YouTube show i do it's a
behind the scenes with Panina?
So it's behind the seams because we have seams in our lives.
So it's behind the seams with Neins.
Neins is my nickname at Kleinfeld. That's how my girls call
me. And it's about everything in my life.
I have two camera crews, one here in New York, one back
in Israel that follow me all the time in my house,
in my business, creating the dresses, working with
my brides. So it's kind of an extension to say yes to the dress
because you see a lot of yes
moments right but it's all the unseen moments of my life
and i am so excited well people are
obsessed with you and they want to see how you get it together
so this is a great way to kind of
peek into Panina when i get it together yeah sometimes i don't you
do today behind the scenes
was madness but yeah the creation is gorgeous yeah
that's what came out of it thank you panina
thank you so much for sharing
so many ways thank you i know this is to bring these gowns here is
like a feat you have no idea
so thank you for that and we're going to watch your youtube's uh
please do behind the scenes it means um and there's a link in my bio
