Fall Drinks Inside A Pumpkin!

That's so true, and let's check back in with Bob at Terry's Cafe in Camden County. Bob, how's it going? Well, going pretty good. You're going to love this place. You know, it's that time of the year when we decorate our pumpkins, all right? But I found a spot. You know, you can get your pumpkin latte, but what about getting your latte in a pumpkin? They carve out the pumpkin and serve your coffee inside the pumpkin. you can then sip it with a straw while you decorate it what do you think we're gonna give it a try coming up the nine o'clock hour all right I found a spot we're not only here to get a pumpkin latte you get your latte inside the pumpkin okay Bob is in Camden County at Terry's cafe hey gang you know what I'm not sure about this you know you've heard of pumpkin latte but how about your latte in an actual pumpkin i found a cafe that carves out the pumpkins and then serves your coffee inside you get to eat a drink it here look all the gook is still in there but you then get a chance to decorate your pumpkin and win a gift card we're going to give it a try come on terry's cafe we come right back county there's a cafe known for serving festive fall drinks and small locally grown pumpkin it's such a great idea everyone's sharing this on social media bob exactly i never saw anything like this when i heard about i'm like we gotta go and check it out hi juliet how are you i'm great how are you so tell me about terry's cafe uh terry's cafe we're four years old um we started sort of a passion project um brad wimmer who is the ceo of auto lenders has an office here okay his mother who's terry no longer with us but she was a wonderful, sweet woman, very warm, inviting, and kind, and he sort of wanted to do that for the community again. Somewhere where people can get a cup of coffee, a sandwich, and just sort of relax and enjoy. So we're in the Woodcrest Corporate Center. Right next door is Social Services, Jefferson Health. A couple hundred people work in the complex. And of course, with Halloween, everybody likes to decorate pumpkins, right? So you give you a chance to do this. You have your eyes your googly eyes your mustache but they put a little twist on it in that you get to have your coffee inside the pumpkin they actually carve out little mini pumpkins and that's how we serve the coffee Shelby how are you i'm doing good oh my gosh all right so where'd you come up with this idea um i mean who doesn't love pumpkin during the fall time right so why not put a latte inside of of the pumpkin it does make sense everybody wants a pumpkin latte pumpkin latte but how about a latte in the pumpkin yeah all right hold my mic let's give it a shot what's this first one going in here uh this is the pumpkin pie latte so it's our classic pumpkin pie syrup whatever milk you want oh my god and then we usually top it with some whipped cream a little pumpkin pie spice and take a sip now with the guts that are still in there do they come up to the straw No, no. We scoop most of it out. It should be, you know, maybe add a little bit of pumpkin flavor in there. Look at that. I love it. And then, as I'm drinking my pumpkin latte, I get a chance to decorate the pumpkin, and then tell me what happens from there. So, we're doing a design contest. Every pumpkin pie latte purchase, or whatever drink you get in your pumpkin, you can design your pumpkin, take a picture of it, tag us on social media, you're entered to win a $30 gift card. That's great. So you can actually sit here over at the counter like they have. Yep. Decorate my pumpkin and then become eligible right there. Right? Well, they have their heads on those pumpkins. Yes. So who does all the carving? This is your job? It's a team effort. It's a team effort. We all contribute. I'm going to put this down for a second because you also have some great food we'll come back to in a second. But I was just amazed. Like, this is what it looks like, okay? So they got all the guts and all that that's in there. I was worried, you know, does it? I know you're very concerned about the pulp. There's no need to be concerned about the pulp. All right, and then you have one other specialty item. What do we have here? Our campfire s'mores latte. We use a really good mocha powder, toasted marshmallow syrup, and then the best part of it is the whipped cream. You're going to get some marshmallows on top of that. And look out for the fire. Those marshmallows are going to get scorched. Watch your hands. Watch, okay, step back, kids. This is where the campfire aspect comes. You get that nice smoky flavor on top of those marshmallows. Oh, baby, there goes my straw. Hold on, maybe. Really good. Okay, oh, look at that. And you can either blow it out on your own. Sometimes we use the cup. Oh! There you go. Order up. Okay, this is great. So how many different flavors can you put in the pumpkin? Oh, an endless amount. Endless amount. Endless amount. I got to ask. I got to ask you, what's your first name? Isabella. Okay, what's everybody think about this when they first come in? Oh, geez, everybody's coming from all over the place to come try a pumpkin. I mean, we're the only place that does it, so you have to come over to Terry's. This is actually pretty good. And you know what? I love the idea because I've never seen anything like this before. And look how it's all melted right on the top. And then you also, while you're here, get something to eat, right? Yep. What do we have over here? So we do breakfast served all day, and then lunch starts at 10:30. This is one of our most popular, Caprese Panini. It's got a nice herb mayo, tomato, fresh mozzarella on a toasted ciabatta. We do excellent omelets with, obviously, beautiful avocados, some roasted potatoes with a really nice seasoning on there.
