Kike Arnal is a Venezuelan-American documentary photographer and videographer whose work spans the Americas, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. He has contributed photo essays and documentary images to major outlets including The New York Times, Life, and Mother Jones. His practice involves both still photography and film, often intersecting in his long-term documentary projects.

Arnal has published multiple photography books, among them In the Shadow of Power, which examines economic inequality, and Bordered Lives, a portrait-based study of transgender communities in Mexico. He also directed a short film about malaria in the Amazon for Discovery Channel Canada. His portfolio assembles editorial, socially engaged, and independent work.

In his creative process, Arnal emphasizes immersion and research prior to shooting. He favours environmental portraiture and often works with communities whose stories are underrepresented. His commercial clients have included non profit, governmental, and private-sector organizations, demonstrating a capacity to bridge documentary sensibilities with commissioned projects.
