Naresh Bhatt murder trial resumes Thursday

Today is day seven in the Naresh Bhat trial. Yesterday the jury saw for the first time what investigators meant previously speaking of the blue star liquid agent blowing up being super visible when it was used in the defendant's home to track possible traces of blood. So we heard police and investigators previously talk about this after the defendant Naresh Bhat was arrested. Now, we actually heard a Prince William County, actually a former Prince William County forensics investigator, explain this in court as she walked through photos. So we see that for the first time. I want to show you an example that we have where in this photo, she said that it had been taken from a section of the defendant's master bedroom carpet. They blue started again back at their office and you can see it light up there. A square was cut out. And this is where it reacts positively, showing bright blue and there's traces of possible DNA evidence. Again, a piece of rug was cut for the actual DNA testing. The jury also was shown other photos of how the agent reacted positively inside the couple's bedroom. They saw photos of the Blue Star chemical going from the couple's bed toward the master bathroom. And the jury also saw the positive Blue Star reaction on a light or to the side of a light switch in the master bathroom and other parts of the bedroom and bathroom area as well. We also heard Naresh Bhat's demeanor change a bit in an August 18th interview that was played for the court. This was an interview that the defendant did with an independent journalist from Nepal. And you hear some of that changes. He was being pressed on why he didn't inform anyone of his wife missing August 1, 2, 3, and 4. August 5th is when he filed the missing persons report here's some of that and guys the prosecution started to get into the droves of cell phone data as well both cell phone data from Mamta Kafle Bot's phone and Naresh Bot's phone and also Naresh Bot's Tesla um again Naresh Bot for those who've been following this He is facing charges for the murder of his wife, Mamta Kafle Bot, and also charges for the dismemberment and discarding of her body back in 2024.
