Showers and a gusty evening storm chance Friday lead into a much chillier weekend

I'm meteorologist Rich Hoffman with your hyper local weather forecast this afternoon. The sun shines there, not as warm as it was yesterday, but a beautiful afternoon out there for today. Now, we are watching dry weather this evening and then heading into your Friday. Here's what we're watching. Temperatures will be in the 60s. It'll be a mild morning to start your Friday. We have some showers coming in during the morning rush hour. Then what will happen is we'll dry things out for a little bit. We're going to get a period here of some breaks of sunshine, especially in Nassau County. Take a look, 70s there, more clouds out over the east end, but we do get a dry period during the day. And then the cold front comes in around 7 to 8 o'clock. That's this line right here of some showers coming in. A couple of quick downpours around 8.30 to 9.30, so your Friday evening's a little wet. We'll track a little bit of wet weather into Saturday morning, and the rain should be done around 6 a.m. Getting to the sports fields, or if you're out early morning hours of Saturday, look at these temperatures. 40s and with a wind around 30 miles per hour it's going to feel even colder so the winds pick up friday evening 30 to 35 miles per hour maybe up to around 40 and you can see saturday morning winds 25 to 35 miles per hour so some gusty winds to start off the weekend and a bit of a chill temperature only around 54 degrees some showers up until about 6 a.m then increasing sunshine in the afternoon sunny dry less wind so it feels better on sunday and by the way sunday morning temperatures in the upper 30s to lower 40s. The rest of today, sunshine, temperatures are in the 60s, generally 62 to 65. Sunny skies, dry weather this evening, spooky season, anything with Halloween related, the rise of the jack-o'-lanterns, the weather looks great through this evening. Clouds after midnight, showers come in by Friday morning, anywhere from around 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. Some showers will develop. Lows are in the 50s. They quickly rise into the 60s.
