Red team, blue team, everybody ready to play beer pong?
Yes, chef!
Good.
In today's beer pong challenge,
a member from one team will choose a chef
from the opposing team they want to do battle with.
Georgiana?
Johnny G.
Johnny G!
I could take him down.
I love it.
That chef will select which protein they want to cook with.
Ooh, a new episode of Hell's Kitchen premieres on Fox tonight,
and you just saw a sneak peek.
Milwaukee chef and contestant on this season Dylan Duffy
is with us once again in his studio
Dylan, this is so exciting getting
to watch you week after week on the new season oh yeah i mean
what has the reaction just been like from the community
so far um it's been really great
honestly everybody um that i've you know spoken
to and uh watched the show with everybody seems
to really really enjoy it um it's a it's
a really fun season i think um it's a season of first they
say, 25th season, silver season. And it's really enjoyable.
The cast is great. We all got along
really well. And I think it's been hilarious.
It's awesome. It's been cool to see. It's this
whole idea of like a new generation of chefs.
So all of the contestants are under the age of 25.
And it's just been really cool to see, you know,
the caliber of talent even at such a young age.
But you guys are going back to school this week.
Yes. Yeah. Back to Hell's Kitchen University with
the beer pong challenge tonight.
Looking forward to that.
Cooking with booze.
It's going to be a lot of fun.
I'm really excited to see
how it all turns out.
Yeah.
Was there anything
that surprised you the most
about the filming process?
I know you said
you did it back in May.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, it was really fun,
but it's really crazy to see
how much does not make it
onto the episode.
There is so much work
behind the scenes.
Really, yeah.
It's really wild.
You probably film a lot
and then it gets edited down
to an hour of course so imagine yeah a lot does get kind
of left on the cutting room floor there
and you were saying i mean you're a busy guy
because you're not just watching these episodes
every week you also have your job
at a nearby restaurant tell me more yeah il ponte a brand
new italian restaurant right in the middle
of downtown milwaukee um owned by adam siegel the
chef of Lupi and Iris so um it's it's brand new we've only
been open for a month um and and you
know, I brought a few items to showcase here.
A couple of things, something from our lunch menu
and then some tasty desserts. It's about to be lunchtime.
It is. So this is, yeah, I wanted to
give a little preview. We open for lunch in, you know, 45 minutes.
And so I decided to bring along
a little caprese sandwich with some chicken.
Really, really delicious, really fresh mozzarella
tomato pesto arugula. And then I
also brought a little cheesecake with us and our cookie plate
here. Very cool. I mean, these are gorgeous desserts,
by the way, for your restaurant. Do
you have a favorite item on the menu that you think if we go,
we have to try it? Favorite item,
I'd say for savory is the chicken parm sandwich.
That's a favorite of mine. And then as far as
dessert goes, really anything, but I really love the gelato.
It's amazing. We make it in-house.
It's delicious. And how has it been going
this past month since opening? Pretty busy. We've been
slammed almost every night and um which is a lot
of fun i mean we're we're going and going the team
is really great everybody's got such a great attitude
that um it really doesn't feel nearly
as uh difficult as it could be you know it's
been really smooth is there anything that you learned
throughout the process of filming hell's kitchen
which i'm imagining is an intense process uh you're
under the lights you're being filmed you want
to win that's really helped you out in in this job
now as a chef? I think one thing that I really like try
to take away from the show is finding
a voice. I think that that's really,
really important, especially with Hell's Kitchen and
Chef Ramsay. You know, that's what he's looking for.
He's looking for that new head chef.
So that kind of pressure really puts you
into a position where you have to show yourself and be a
leader. Yeah. OK, so let's talk about Chef Ramsay.
Is he as intimidating in real life as he can come
off on tv oh i mean he's terrifying okay i feel
like i always i love seeing him interact with
children versus adults because i feel like it's
two different gordon ramses you know i think we
got like kind of a middle ground okay
um this season uh definitely not the worst that i've seen
i mean uh growing up like watching the show you see how intense
and crazy he is so when when you're
face to face with him it's it's like you're expecting it
um but also you know if he says
something like it's raw then everything
is like oh you said the line right right not to laugh oh
that's too good it's really good yeah
and i mean just for you again i mean you are representing
milwaukee right now on this season how does that feel
for you it feels really great i'm i'm actually
incredibly grateful for the opportunity
um and and i feel really great being out there
showing represent 414 it's it's really really
fun yeah well we can't wait to get to tune in
once again to cheer you on tonight dylan as you go back to school
and we really appreciate you
stopping in once again here thank you so much yes
and go grab lunch at his restaurant it looks
delicious rob i feel like if people ask me about you oh just
for fun i would be like oh yeah he's
really scary yeah that's right he calls me a donkey all
the time yeah just like chef i was an idiot
