Vehicle crashes into utility pole, brings down wires in Englishtown

First responders in Monmouth County responding to a vehicle crashing into a home overnight. Yeah, it happened on Tennant Avenue in Englishtown. News 12's Tony Caputo is there with the very latest. Tony. Good morning, Simon. Good morning, Nick. Good morning, folks. Police are still on scene, and the area where this incident took place is taped off. So they have this part of Tennant Avenue closed. It's really difficult to make out what we're looking at, so I'll talk you through it. The vehicle that was involved has since been towed away. This happening around 2:30 or so this morning. But what remains is that broken utility pole, kind of busted in half and almost looking like an upside down V right now, the way it's on the street and on the yard of that home. Now, whether the vehicle actually hit the home, I really can't tell at this point. It's just too dark. But that was the call-in that we got, that it was a vehicle into a home. But again, wires are down or hanging, I should say, because of that utility pole being busted in half like that. We're still waiting on an update on the driver of that vehicle and injuries at this time. As we get more information, we'll certainly pass it along to you. That's the latest from Englishtown, Tony Caputo, News 12, New Jersey.
