We have multiple updates for you guys
on today's episode of the Rams Digest.
We're starting with Alaric Jackson,
how his suspension has been reduced.
We're also talking about Matthew Stafford and Puka Nacua,
that connection, how it can continue against
a former Rams coach in Arizona.
We're breaking that all down for you.
All that and more all on today's episode of the Rams Digest.
I'm your host, Joshua Hidon.
And before we get too far into today's video,
I want to let you guys know today's video is brought to you by Kalshi.
Look, if you have never heard of Kalshi, when you're trading on Kalshi,
you're trading directly against other users
not the house like traditional sports books you're
buying yes or no contracts on the outcome
of events across sports politics or even the weather
we have multiple updates for you guys
our multiple options i should say for you guys to take a look
at in terms of examples of what you can do on Kalshi
when you're starting on Kalshi you're
probably going to say you know what i'm gonna look up
the rams see what the odds are for the rams
to win their football game if i say yes
and i trade yes on the rams winning their football game
well that's an 87% chance right now the rams will beat
the arizona cardinals arizona not a very good
team they do have talented players we'll talk about that in a bit
but uh they're obviously a
little bit going to be underdogs
in this football game first they lost against rams if i say $25
yes the rams will win this football game
if i trade $25 i'll get $28 in return not really worth
the risk of investment there i think right
so look at the top right it says combo why not add
a couple of games you know add into the mix we know
the Rams are gonna win that's obvious we'll
go ahead and say the Rams need to win that football game
so yes the Rams win I'll say yes
the Baltimore Ravens beat the Cleveland Browns they
are a huge favorite in that game I'll say
yes the Carolina Panthers beat
the Jalen Hurts less Eagles he's not going to be playing this
week due to a blood clot by the way wishing him nothing
but the best but I'll say yes the Panthers
beat the Eagles I'll say yes the Steelers beat
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as all those teams
should win therefore my $25 will get me $113
in return if I trade yes on all of those markets
look Kalshi is the way to go if you guys want
to get in on some sports action you want to trade
on some sports action uh choosing yes
or no on things like i said politics are also involved

and the pinned comment thank you again to Kalshi
for sponsoring today's video all right let's talk
a little bit about the Rams Alaric Jackson update
we have a couple things to discuss and break down
but the biggest thing is going to be originally
if you forgot you weren't here the other day
when i talked about this situation i talked about Alaric
Jackson i said uh he basically post game uh there
were some words exchanged with him and Bradley
Chubb of the Buffalo Bills uh you could see uh
video clips there's evidence of them kind of
talking it looks like Bradley Chubb initiates some conversation
while Alaric Jackson's in the
middle of trading jerseys with the Buffalo Bills player
and then you see uh this is the response
Alaric Jackson gave to uh Bradley Chubb
for the things that he said now there is a couple of
rumors uh i guess Bradley Chubb had to respond
to a rumor of him mentioning something about
Alaric Jackson's mother i'm not sure
if Alaric Jackson is claiming that's what was said
either way whatever what was said some people have said
this already on on social media media
in general Alaric Jackson needs to handle his emotions
a little bit better difficult thing to do for sure
we have football players that are so uber
aggressive all the time we want them to be
physical aggressive athletes uh they just went
to battle against one another right Bradley Chubb
and Alaric Jackson they went to war against one another
and then Bradley Chubb still talking
and chirping after his team won the game uh apparently he
was mentioning Bradley Chubb was
saying something along the lines
of uh there's chip blocks there you guys couldn't get me one
on one you had to have tight ends help
and running backs help whatever he was saying
talking his trash and therefore it was responded
to with Alaric Jackson punch in the face so
obviously not ideal for Alaric Jackson whatever
bradley chubb said like i said doesn't really
matter at this point bradley chubb should he be talking
who cares you shouldn't be swinging on
players post game because you get dealt
with a suspension now the update we're dealing with
right now is that Alaric Jackson actually went he appealed uh
this suspension he was went from
a two-game suspension it has now
been brought down apparently reportedly brought down to a
one-game suspension so he will be suspended
for one game he will miss the Arizona Cardinals game
and hopefully he will be back the next following week against
the Las Vegas Raiders that is the
word right now on the situation
so in terms of who is going to step in and replace Alaric Jackson
in this football game it looks like it's going
to be David Quisenberry the Rams signed him last year
played a whole bunch of right tackle in his career
in the past has played left tackle at times but
not nearly as much as he's played right tackle
so interested to see how he holds up at left tackle
he needs to be able to protect that blind side
of Matthew Stafford I think at this point it's a good
test for you to see hey is he uh going to be capable
in a game scenario to hold up and block
for Matthew Stafford that is going to be the
question but David Quisenberry will have to
meet that test this coming week uh Sean McVay
already confirmed it in the media and a press
conference that David Quisenberry will be taking
the left tackle role for Alaric Jackson so Alaric
Jackson missing one game rather than two good
for the Rams the Rams should be able to sneak away
with the victory versus Arizona Cardinals even
without Alaric Jackson but it is going to be
a little bit of a thing to keep an eye out
and look for if Stafford's getting beat up and sacked
from the left side we know
who is blocking on that side now right so they don't want to make
sure that is avoided hopefully uh they can finish this game out strong
and David Quisenberry can hold
up strong and the Rams will ultimately be okay
so that's the update there for Alaric Jackson and
we're talking about Matthew Stafford
the Rams Puka Nacua can these two come alive again I
mean last week they had what 17 uh times they connected
with one another 16 whatever it was
a bunch of connections with Puka Nacua
and Matthew Stafford yardage wise wasn't going crazy they
weren't going deep down the field too much
but they were uh Matthew Stafford was feeding Puka
Nakua a lot they were obviously feeding off one
another they were playing really well with one
another and honestly it wasn't just a Puka Nakua show give
a lot of credit to Davante Adams i think
this is kind of the original idea we had
when Davante Adams came to Los Angeles Rams we initially
thought he was going to be more of a red zone threat he
was that last year right 700 yards only
with 14 receiving touchdowns this year he exploded
for a bunch of yards early without Puka Nakua
being able to be on the field
and then now he's kind of back to more of a red zone target I like
it I still want to see more deep balls
to Devontae Adams I want Stafford to kind of get Devontae more
involved throughout the game because we see
when Davante is hot he's a hall of fame type of player
when he gets he gets a hot hand you want
to make sure you keep feeding that hot hand he is a dog
one-on-one coverage doesn't matter go up he'll go up
and get the football so overall i want to see
them get Davante Adams more involved throughout
the progression of a drive you want to see him
kind of catch a ball over the middle of the field
or the middle of a defense he know he has the
ability to do it Stafford has to target him
a little bit more deep down the field that is what
i want to see the rams do but either way uh right now Davante Adams
and Puka Nakua are complimenting
each other very well one guy's a red zone threat one guy's
a threat all over the field so we're
happy to see that for sure the rams got
to continue it against the Arizona Cardinals because
the Arizona Cardinals are not a very good passing defense we know
their pass coverage is not the
best so take advantage of that but I think you have
to also remember Matthew Stafford should not
I'm not gonna say he can't
but he should not be at 38 years old having to throw the football 55
times in a football game to win a game let him go down
to a little more of a 30 to 35 hopefully
under 30 passing attempts in this football game
if you force the football into Kyron Williams and
Blake Corum look if the run game
is not working don't force it don't get me wrong but I think
these guys should be able to see some success against
this Arizona Cardinals defense they're
not the best defense that we've seen
the rams go up against Kyron Williams had a decent game last
week i think he had more important high kind
of leverage plays where the rams needed to make and
that's why i felt like he had a really good game
but like 16 17 carries for about 49 yards was not
the best of days efficient most efficient days
for Kyron Williams so get Corum involved get
Kyron involved let these guys uh eat early in this football game
so you can open up some play action
open up opportunities deep down the field allow yourself
to get a big lead in this football game
so therefore you can start running the air out
the football as the game ends I want to see 30 plus
carries with Corum and Kyron combined I think
that's very doable for this Rams team against
an Arizona Cardinals team I'm not saying chalk it up
as an easy win this offensive line is going to
be a question we got to take a look
at Larry Jackson being out what David Quisenberry like
we just said is going to do in there
but I want to see this team succeed offensively against
Arizona Cardinals that shouldn't
be a question defensively can you hold up against Trey McBride
Can Quentin Lake cover Trey McBride?
Can Nate Lamb not be unscathed like he
was a little bit against Josh Allen and cover
a little bit of Trey McBride?
That's going to be a key for the Rams.
Michael Wilson has been a threat.
We know that.
No more Marvin Harrison.
So Michael Wilson actually might pop off
for a couple of, that's actually a good point.
I got to make sure I note that for my fantasy football team.
Michael Wilson might actually have some good
opportunities there now that Marvin Harrison
is out.
Not that he was doing much in Arizona,
but he's now gone and he's traded away in Houston.
So no Marvin Harrison.
Focus on Michael Wilson.
Focus on Trey McBride.
focus on slowing down this run game
with Jeremiah Love we know he's a dangerous runner we've seen
in college he hasn't really done it consistently at the NFL level
but how can you slow down the
run game with him and i was here you should
be able to make it happen Jacoby Brissett is not
the rushing uh kind of a threat that uh Josh Allen
was so we know that's going to be a little
bit better for sure on that front
but he's got some mobility in him as well don't be don't be
surprised if you see him pop off
for a nice eight yard first down every now and then it's going to
frustrate you in the third quarter
or something like that but the Rams should be able to handle
business versus Arizona Cardinals even
with the injuries they're dealing with and they should be
able to take a win in this football game you're
playing against Mike LaFleur one of your old
coaches you should be very familiar
with his offensive scheme as well I think the Rams should
be okay in this football game to win
the game shout out to Mike LaFleur by the way running
running the show out there in Arizona
not really doing too hot I would say but also doesn't have
much to work with um so what are you gonna do I think
um you know they're gonna grow and develop
and give him a couple years Mike LaFleur will have
that team uh playing better hopefully for him not
hopefully for the Rams for sure
but I have a question for you guys how are you guys feeling
about the Los Angeles Rams
at this current moment October 15th Thursday ahead of week six in the
NFL how are you feeling about the Los Angeles Rams sitting at two
and three going into week six you
got a Sunday matchup against Arizona Cardinals how
are you feeling about this team on a scale
one to ten by the way so one being the closer you get
to one is trade everyone season's over it is
what it is or a 10 feeling like I'm fine we're fine everything
is fine Josh don't worry about
it with the flames meme kind of behind you we're winning
that bowl it doesn't matter we're gonna
be okay i'm more at about uh seven right now
with los angeles rams they played so well against the
buffalo bills special teams killed them
a little bit they made some adjustments with the kicker i
think the rams will be okay they just got to make
those adjustments ahead of time i kind of thought
Harrison Smith we knew was going to be iffy
and not reliable in the kicking game in terms of uh
deep uh field goal attempts we knew that from last year
the rams probably should have had a
competition for him in the summer overall it
is what it is they moved on from him we'll see if
Blake Grupe can actually be a reliable kicker
for the Rams moving forward, but I'm more of about a
seven. The Rams played really well. They did what
they're supposed to do. They're doing what they're
supposed to do, and they're just losing,
unfortunately, losing these games, not finishing
these games out strong, so the Rams, I think, will be okay.
They played some tough teams, had
some tough battles. Over the next five weeks,
the schedule lightens up for them. They should be able
to win these football games, or at least a majority
of these football games coming up, and put
themselves in a position to be, again,
atop of the leaders in terms of projected winners for the
Super Bowl I think they're still kind
of favorites right now to win the Super Bowl which is crazy
sitting at two and three but that's how good this team
is that's how good the world thinks this team
is and how good this team should be moving forward
