Howard University homecoming festivities underway

Very well now is Howard's homecoming. The university is preparing for the big football game tomorrow, but the festivities are already underway. Fox 5's Jennifer Delgado is at Yardfest in Northwest. That's at Howard University. Howard University has been celebrating homecoming for more than 100 years, and this one is not a disappointment by any means. We're going to talk to some of the students. How are you guys enjoying this so far? I'm feeling great. The weather is lovely. Like, it's such a good time. Right. And what about you? What's your favorite part of homecoming? I love seeing my old classmates, professors, and just coming home. It's a homecoming. It is a homecoming. Are you excited about the possibility of some of the celebrities and the appearances and performers? I am excited. They're keeping it a secret, so I don't know who's going to come on the stage, but I'm excited. I've heard a few names. I've heard rumors. I've heard rumors, too. I don't think you're going to be disappointed. Students out here are having a good time. Checking in with you guys, what is your favorite part about homecoming? Just the experience, the environment, everybody that's around. You know, it's a good place to be, you know what I'm saying? Good time, family? The community. We love it here. Thank you. You know. There's going to be a big turnout. A huge turnout. Huge turnout, yes. In the football game, are you feeling confident? Feeling confident. What is your favorite part about homecoming? I'm not even a student here. I'm just trying to enjoy the vibe. That's the vibe. Not me either. You know, I'm not from HBCU, so it's always good to see my people again, you know? It's just nice to come together with everybody and have a common goal and a love of Howard University. Now, the football game is tomorrow at 3.30. Now, people were asking about what happened, of course, to the parade. It had to be canceled because of construction on Georgia Avenue. But right now, the folks out here in the yard, four performers, they had Chief Baby do it. And you know what? He had everybody out here dancing. There are rumors of more celebrities to come. We'll just keep you updated. We're going to send it back over to you guys.
