How Narcissistic Parents Cause Eating Disorders in Their Children #narcissist #narcissisticabuse

If your child is fat, it's because you're a bad parent.
Having overweight children is childhood.
I 100% agree because I was overweight, obese as a child.
And my parents being baby boomer parents were very abusive.
They were violent.
They always got into physical altercations.
It wasn't where my father was whooping and beating on my mama
and she was screaming and crying.
Like my mother fought like a dude.
She would fight him right back.
So this went on all the time.
And just imagine it was me and my brother and sister,
me being the oldest child, like
that's a lot of anxiety for a child to witness
their parents constantly, you know, fist fighting
all the time.
Add to that, my parents were unstable in terms of our housing.
You know, at the time we were living in New Jersey,
all I can remember as the oldest child
is we moving from one motel low budget motels all over South Jersey
not realizing you know when i
was a little girl and being obese that um i had an eating problem
because i was coping with my
anxiety and stress of being you know abused you know
my mother was the violent one constantly
beating and belittling me fat shaming me
as a little girl on top of that witnessing my parents
physically fight each other you know
so at the time the only comfort and joy I would have is food
you know and that's where the emotional eating
and overeating came for me and you know my mother
caught us asking her asking for food begging
for food in anyone's homes grandma whoever next door
neighbor we would get beat for that add
to that that I have a a physical condition called lip
lipoedema. Um, and I've always had lipoedema.
I'm just now learning. I've had two surgeries over the
last two years to, um,
remove a lot of the lipoedema out of my thighs. The lipoedema has
been in my legs since I was a little girl.
And if you don't know what lipoedema is or lymphedema,
it's, it's like really stubborn fat.
Like no matter how much you diet or go to the gym and
exercise, it will not burn away.
It stays, it's like hard fat. It's like this fat that's like
in the form of pebbles like really like small pebbles
and it stays stored in your legs no matter
how much you diet and exercise it just will not go away
and that comes from i don't know i they're
still doing studies on it but i can sit here
and say i've had that condition since i was about seven
eight years old i've always had big thighs big legs
and i honestly believe it's stress related
it's just stress and trauma stored in the body
because i was always around violence witnessing
seeing my parents, you know,
fight each other being beat on and bullied by my mother. So in
essence, I do believe that, you know,
if children are overweight and obese, it is a form of child
abuse and bad parenting.
You're hearing it straight from the source. Okay. And you know,
you also create psychological problems down the line for your children.
If you don't stay on top
of their their uh choices in food if you're beating them
for being hungry and you know they
don't eat but the moment they get their hands
on some food they binge eat that's also abuse you
know so like i said my parents were baby boomers even
my daddy my daddy even though my father
didn't physically beat my ass my father would say ---- like you have
a pretty face you would be so
much prettier if you lose the weight
and you know things like that hurt you know even though my daddy
didn't beat me he said he would say ---- like that about my body
and my weight so i blame both my
parents i absolutely think you know it's a it's
a form of bad parenting if your child is obese
overweight um it's a form of child abuse 100 percent you know
um it is the parent's obligation to stay on
top of the child's eating habits you know make sure they're
not stressed out make sure they're
not overeating under eating you know make sure they have
a healthy diet and I just feel like
you know my parents created a lot of psychological issues
that affected me and you know fucked up my
eating habits and then my body
and my weight was weaponized against me you know they create the
issues in my childhood then I was then I
was autistic finding out that I you know I'm just
now learning I'm autistic on top of my lipedema.
I got, you know, thank God that my health insurance
paid for the surgeries. I had two surgeries
to remove the lipedema out my legs that I've had
since I was a little girl.
But now I'm also just finding out that I'm autistic. I got a diagnosis
from a psychologist. So I'm like, all this went on as a child.
No wonder I was obese, overweight.
I was eating as a form of emotional comfort.
Food was the only thing that comforted me because I was
in an unsafe environment all the ******* time.
And I blame my parents. So 100% dude is telling
the truth. You know, if your children are obese,
overweight, it is a sign. It is a huge red flag
that it's either bad parenting or a form of child abuse.
Either way, get on top of your ----. You
know, you are in control of your children and,
you know, get them to a nutritionist. You know,
if you want them to do better and eat better,
stay on top of their, their weight and their diet
without punishing them and bullying them
and watch what you do and say to your children
because that psychological abuse that verbal abuse
also can have you know an impact on
their eating habits i said what i said
