You're watching the Fox 10 Weather Experts
with Ashley Loessa on Fox 10 News.
And we'll be tracking our next weather system next week.
That could bring us here in the high country some snow,
but that's not going to be the case for the rest
of today or the rest of this weekend.
Happy Saturday, everyone.
Taking our live cameras right now.
Feeling like fall.
A little bit cloudy and gloomy out there and cooler.
Love to see the fall colors up
in the high country out in Flagstaff as well.
This temperature is not bad.
77 degrees as you join us here in downtown Phoenix.
Those winds have died down significantly.
That low pressure that was responsible
for that is starting to move out of the state.
And moving in will be some more changes.
So here's a look at some of our top headlines.
We'll have some light rain that we're seeing for parts
of the state right now through tonight and into tomorrow morning.
Temperatures are going to be warming up into early next week.
And there is, again, the potential for some rain activity tracking
that system for you in just a bit.
but tracking those temperatures
and the rest of the day today right here with your planner.
68 degrees is what we're dropping down tonight
with the potential for some more rain.
And you can see for tomorrow we'll have mostly sunny skies.
We'll start the day off a little bit cloudy
and then heading into the afternoon hours
we'll start to see some more sunshine
with a high roughly at around 82 degrees.
Now as far as today went, 80 degrees.
Not too bad as we kickstart the weekend, especially for you fall lovers
that want a little bit cooler situation.
we got it and it was below average with 89 being the norm
and we're starting to feel those
temperatures bump up a little bit more average
but not bumping up are going to be those winds
at least for tonight we're still going
to be having some on and off breezes for the rest of
this weekend you can see for sunday 1
a.m towards phoenix close to 30 mile per hour wind gas at 26
just about but certainly nothing as strong
as what we had yesterday all of our wind alerts have
expired and it looks as though we're still going
to maintain just some light
breezes here and there, especially
towards south central Arizona towards
the eastern end. So the winds are cooperating and right now you can see
with our future cast model, we'll continue to hold on to the cloud
coverage and even some more moisture
chances certainly along the east of Phoenix.
You can see those bands of precipitation extending
from the valley up into the
high country and that's going to continue to linger into the early
Sunday morning hours mainly for the north
and east of us and the cloud coverage that we've been
seeing and as we had mentioned that'll start
to break down right at around one o'clock this is
what the models are showing so we'll have some pops of sunshine
and we'll clear out even more
towards northeastern parts of the state we'll
also start to see some more showers developing
coming in from the south some more isolated spots
as we head towards south central Arizona
and we are anticipating some more rain potential
with the system that's going to be coming in
dropping southwesterly
and this is going to actually bring up some more rain chances as we
head into next week. Wednesday
and Thursday some more widespread rain coverage still a little bit
too early to tell but according to the National Weather Service
and the Climate Prediction Center
we're seeing a lot of green across the nation
and across Arizona so that always indicates to us
above average conditions
with that time frame being October 23rd through the 27th with those
temperatures a little bit more average as well
so we're certainly going to be seeing some more
rain chances for tonight we'll be seeing
and feeling those 60s here in Phoenix 40s in Flagstaff
50s in Sedona 64 tonight in Prescott 73 in Globe
and as we take it to that 10-day forecast
warming back up near 90s through Tuesday
and then again we'll be on standby for Wednesday
and Thursday temperatures dropping down
with the potential for some rain chances
Thank
you.
