Taylor, I guess it is homecoming time.
I got to crown the homecoming queen in high school.
Really?
It was kind of fun.
Yeah, it was my friend.
Yeah, because I was actually my high school,
Miss Terry Parker High School.
So whoever won the pageant got to crown the queen.
I couldn't run for homecoming queen, but I got to crown her.
Oh, that's so cool.
I love it.
But that was such a thoughtful thing to do right there.
Yeah, no, it really was.
I know.
I can't believe it's homecoming time already.
We're in that season for sure.
And we're certainly seeing it with the change in weather as well.
It was certainly cooler over the weekend.
We're going to have that fall-like feel
in the air for the rest of this week, too.
So we've kind of flipped the switch in terms
of how it feels in terms of seasons.
This morning, it is chilly.
We're at 45 degrees at Reagan Airport with winds,
that cool air coming in out of the north.
And the clear skies, light winds overnight really help
with the radiational cooling.
So a good part of you, if you're outside of the city,
you're most likely in the 30s.
So you'll need to bundle up this morning,
maybe to break out the winter coat or something like that.
To keep yourself warm, it's going
to get better throughout the daytime, though.
Live look at radar.
In terms of this entire week, it's looking extremely dry.
So if you have outdoor plans, you're good to go.
High pressure will kind of dominate our weather,
which is very typical for this point of October.
We kind of get that boring in terms of what us meteorologists call it.
Not a whole lot happening out there.
So may see a coastal system kind of move up from the Carolinas,
but I think it's going to stay far enough off the shoreline right now,
but we'll keep a close eye on it for any kind of impacts.
66 degrees for the afternoon high temperature it will
be a little bit warmer than the low 60s
yesterday a nice day for outdoor plans
of course tomorrow will continue with that warming trend i
think we're into the 70s for most of you with plenty
of sunshine let's talk about that coastal
system it kind of materializes off
the Carolinas sometime tomorrow evening and then it kind of
lifts northward eventually after stalling
for a couple of days should eventually be off the New
England coastline sometime later this week into the weekend
so i think in terms of us as it
currently looks. Something could still change,
but we're looking at minimal impacts, if anything at
all. Seven-day forecast.
Sunshine's back with chilly mornings and mild afternoons each and
every day. We're in the 60s through the weekend as well.
