When I first learned about Wim Hof - I saw him demonstrate his breathing technique . I tried it and immediately became HOOKED. I do it every day and it has changed my life! You can follow along and try it yourself to see! This is a demonstration of the Wim Hof method that I have been using every day.
Before a workout Before bed Before an ice bath If you’re stressed out If you have low energy
Mr Hof - thank you!
Here is a link to the guided breathing session from Wim Hofs channel - absolute legend!
All right. I want to tell you guys about
a breathing technique that I learned from a man
named Wim Hof. Now, I'm sure many of you have already heard
of this before. It is the Wim Hof
method. We are learning how to go deeply within our physiology,
the way nature meant it to be,
and that is going past our normal conditioning.
And all I want you to do is just to sit down or
lie down and try it with me. It's very simple.
It's going to take a few minutes out of your day,
But you will not regret it.
It has changed my life doing this method and doing the ice baths
I'm gonna start with the breathing technique.
I'm gonna explain it real quick. All it's gonna be is 30 deep breaths
So you're gonna breathe in
Deep into your diaphragm into your lungs into your belly
and you're gonna exhale normally so you don't have to
Let out all the air just exhale
Normally, so 30 breaths.
Alright, so we're gonna do that at the end
you're gonna exhale on the last breath
and you're gonna stop and we are not
gonna breathe back in with zero air in our lungs
and you're gonna be able to
hold your breath for over
a minute easy I'll walk you guys through it just
follow along sit down lie down if you start feeling lightheaded halfway
through don't worry about it just keep
going it should pass just make sure
you're not doing this while driving
while standing while in the water alright
so we're gonna start with the breathing
technique so two three don't think in
time, don't think in numbers, think in intensity,
think in healing, heal, follow the flow of your breath.
Nine,
10, 14,
halfway
there,
16, 19.
Whenever you feel lightheaded, loose in the body, tingling,
okay, those are the symptoms.
22, intensify those symptoms by breathing toward it.
Go with the flow, feel.
25, 26, 27, 28,
almost there,
29, last one.
Exhale
and
just
stop.
Squeeze a little for 10 seconds, 15 seconds to your head.
Breath hold.
You feel, I
wanna know.
Try taking a few deep breaths after you finish the round.
Notice how much easier it is to breathe.
Notice how much your lung capacity feels
like it's increasing.
Do you feel an energy or do you feel like calmness?
You can feel one or the other.
For me, I'll usually do three rounds of this back to back.
One round if I'm short on time,
but it makes me feel amazing.
And I will follow it up with an ice bath.
I usually, if I do breath work before I get in the ice bath,
the cold is not as unbearable,
especially in those first 20 or 30 seconds.
If you enjoyed the Wim Hof breathing technique,
the Wim Hof method, let me know in the comments.
If you have questions, I will link his official video.
His is really good to follow along with as well.
That's the one that I use when I like legit do it.
I'll follow the breathing pattern with him.
He walks you through it, he talks you through it.
It's got like kind of like chill, relaxed music going.
And then the breath hold and everything,
it's all kind of laid out for you.
So I'll link it in the description.
Mr. Hoff, you have changed my life.
You have changed so many lives.
Please keep spreading that message.
Keep doing what you're doing.
You are an amazing person.
