Very sweet and store-owned.
Well, is it? I don't know.
That's the thing, Sue.
Some of them are sweet, some of them are, I don't know, something else.
Dun, dun, dun.
Trick or treat.
So a local bakery is serving up tricks
with their treats this Halloween.
Rob Zibo, baker and owner of Faith and Flour Bakery,
joining us this morning.
Good to see you. Good morning to you.
Good morning to you guys.
Oh my goodness, trick or treat we're about to find out.
First of all, where's your bakery located?
It's in Medford, right on Route 70, 185 Route 70.
And we're right on the main strip there.
And how long have you been there?
Four years now.
Okay.
Yeah, and I love the name.
Thank you.
Faith and Flour.
Appreciate that.
What's behind that?
It was a rebranding.
We had closed.
We had a couple of issues along the way,
so I had rebranded and thanking God for pulling
me through that craziness that we were going through.
That's wonderful.
So then how did you come up with this of Trick or Treat Donut Holes?
So the crazy thing is, so we make a lot of other things too,
stuffed breads, ice cream
cakes, all kinds of different fun things.
But the stuffed breads, I'm more of a savory person.
I know it's hard to believe with all the sweets in front of you,
but we make stuffed breads.
And I was thinking one day, I'm like, what about a Cuban stuffed bread?
I think that would be amazing, right?
I love Cuban sandwiches.
So I'm walking by, and, of course, I see our fillers.
I get lemon and the white, and I'm thinking mayo,
mustard, you know, for the sandwich.
And I'm like, oh, wouldn't that be horrible
if that was filled with the wrong thing?
And then it was born.
I'm like, hey, trick or treat.
This will be awesome.
So how does it work?
People can buy how many donut holes, and what do you get with the box?
They can do six, 12, or 24.
and they get to pick how many tricks they want.
Okay.
So we had somebody call and say,
does somebody really want to eat mayo, mustard, and ketchup?
I'm like, it's not that it's a want.
It's just a fun thing to do.
Mayo, mustard, and ketchup.
Okay.
First of all, can I say, are these pastries made for giants?
They are huge.
So I tried to make them smaller.
It never works out.
I mean, it's literally the size of,
like, I don't know if we have overhead,
but, like, look at that.
Oh, like, you can barely lift it with one hand.
It's huge.
Yeah, some of the filled ones will get close to a half pound.
I don't want to touch without...
I love it.
You can weight lift with the donuts.
But look how big this cinnamon roll is.
Oh, my gosh.
Let's see.
I'm going to try and lift it.
I'm covering it now.
There you go.
It's a half pound.
Keep that in mind.
Look at that.
It's bigger than my face.
That's crazy.
Wow.
This is breakfast, lunch, and dinner right there.
Yes, yes, it is.
That's called the Goliath for a reason.
All right.
Yes.
All right.
Let's play this game.
This game of trick or treats.
All right, so some of them are powdered, some of them are sugary.
That's not a hint, is it?
It's not a hint.
Do you want to go first?
I'm sorry.
I'll go first.
It's not a hint.
Okay.
And I actually don't even know what's in which one.
You don't even know?
I have no clue.
But how are we going to?
I made them, but when I put them in, I didn't.
This one's closest to me, so I'm going to do this one.
Take one big, deep bite.
Our board director, Rob, is like, I'm nervous.
What camera should I be looking at?
I'm hoping that's the mayo or ketchup.
Okay, here we go.
Okay, we're...
You got the wrap there?
I'm so nervous.
like all right okay i'm gonna go
for the uh sugary goodness right here we should also
know they have spit cups for us in case
it gets too bad oh that's actually what
i don't mind it he doesn't mind it well look
at that okay okay i do mind it i do mind it uh-huh
okay that was a sugary one so should i say i've
been good with the powdery i think i'm
I'm gonna stick powder. Wow. Here we go.
I think I got my filling wrong.
Oh, that's
mayo. Yep, that's mayo. Perfect. All right.
So that means there's one more. I tried not
to overdo the tricks. One more trick. Okay.
All right, I'm gonna go for the powder one
this time. Here we go. I still got that mustard taste in my mouth.
Oh, that's delightful.
It's lemon. Lemon? Well, now we got five.
Okay, last one, last one. 50-50 chance of
Yeah, here we go.
These are the last two left.
Am I lucky?
Am I feeling good?
We're good.
This is like plain filling.
Which means, Sue, you get the last choice.
Come on over.
Come on down.
Oh, no, you're not out of this, my friend.
Sue deserves a real treat.
How much are these boxes?
I know what it is.
Why would I want to eat it?
It could be a treat.
It's a trick, Sue.
No, no, not a treat.
How much are these?
Oh, you mean there's a chance it's not ketchup?
Don't you trust me.
I don't know.
I'm not 100% sure, to be honest with you.
All right.
We've got powder and mustard everywhere.
That's ketchup.
I tried to warn you, Sue.
I know.
It's not that bad, because you have
to put sugar in ketchup anyway, right?
I have heard that ketchup has a lot of sugar in it.
How far in advance do you need to order,
and how long will you be offering these?
We're going to go from this Friday until the 31st.
Okay.
And then for 6, it's $10.
For 12, it's $18.
And for 24, it's $30.
That's a lot of fun for a party again.
Yeah.
And we're doing a little contest, too, so if people post their videos,
we're going to be giving away some gift cards
for the top two crazy videos and the most fun.
Oh, that's so great.
Well, wonderful.
Make sure you go to Faith and Flower Bakery to get these great ideas.
So much fun.
Thank you for letting us play.
Okay, now let's get to the real treats.
We'll be right back.
