Good morning, everyone. Happy Tuesday.
We've got our first storm of the season getting ready to touch down.
I'm talking about this evening and let's get right into it.
Lots to cover. Gorgeous shot right there.
As you can see, we've got partly cloudy conditions,
a little haze out there, some low lying fog.
And this is what we're focused on, folks,
this area of low pressure that's going to bring us about
a 15% chance of rain beginning this evening.
And we're going to see those chances great.
And as we move through parts of tomorrow and early Thursday,
we're going to see those chances great.
Now, a lot of this moisture really wants to stay south of us
and kind of blanket parts of central and southern California.
But we're going to get our fair share.
One to three inches for L.A., for instance.
But for us, we're going to see trace amounts potentially upwards
of about a half of an inch for areas such as Monterey.
Come towards this weekend, we're going to see things clear up
pretty quickly, but still some moisture lingering in the Pacific.
One more shot for you just to show you.
11 p.m. tonight, right?
We're looking at a very small chance for, we're talking North Bay.
And then once we move through parts of tomorrow, really rain chances
will be with us all day tomorrow into early parts of Thursday.
Now, you can see pockets in these small microcells,
the colors red and orange, indicates potential
for heavy downpour as well as thunder and lightning.
Thursday a.m., this is going to whip around
and blanket areas north of us before it sails east.
So all of this subject to change,
but that is the path of the system right now.
Here's some totals for you.
As I just mentioned, areas such as Monterey,
a little over a half of an inch of rain.
a quarter of an inch for areas such as Santa Rosa
and Ukiah and about a 15th of an inch for
areas such as San Francisco really no wind
to worry about we saw wind last night usher in this
very weak area of low pressure
and here are your forecast highs for today wherever you are
temperatures are down between uh five up
to seven degrees below seasonal average numbers
bottoming out Thursday this coming weekend promising
to be a gorgeous one okay stick
with us we're going to send you off
to a quick break we'll meet you back here in a moment
