P1Harmony talks upcoming album and L.A. performance

Welcome back to Good Day LA. You know once you K-pop, you cannot stop. And we are your one-stop shop for all things K-pop. And K-pop group P1 Harmony is making waves around the world and right here in LA. They recently headlined the 82 World Festival and they're gearing up for another comeback next month. But first, take a listen to their hit song, Unique. my crew unique and joining us now oh so unique please welcome P1Harmony to Good Day plus everything hello we are P1Harmony hi I'm Theo nice to meet you I'm Soul nice to meet you hi guys this is Intak hi this is good to see you hi I'm Jiung nice to see you and this is Keeho yep thank you so much First of all, you guys are killing it. Thank you. Fun, very much intended. I mean, you just headlined 82 World at LA State Historic Park over the weekend. Tell me about that experience. And you guys are basically like LA locals at this point, cuz you've been to LA so many times. Right. So we're so honored to headlining the 82 World as well. And the weather is amazing, and the crowd was amazing too. And yeah, we're so honored. I hope we can headlining more festival and they show in the future, right? Yeah, we're putting it out there into the universe What makes the LA kpop fans so unique? Mmm, you know what? They've always been so loyal and you know, our very first show I started with was actually in LA And so I think it was about almost six five years ago And they followed us along the journey all this time and every single time they show out and we can even recognize the faces from all the way back then up until now. And so the loyalty and the love and the constant energy, even though we're so far away, yeah, we definitely feel it. You hear that, LA? We show up and we show out, okay, yes. You have so many great hit songs, but how did you decide what to include for 82 World? You know what, I think we've always had an issue with what to put in the set list because we've been a group now for six years now. And so we have a lot of songs, But because like Tom said, it was such an honor to headline, they gave us such a long set that we were able to put in fun songs, upbeat songs, slow songs, emotional songs, even throwback songs. And I feel like everyone just really enjoyed the whole set list. It was a journey. It was a journey. We made it a roller coaster. You know, people cried. We saw some people cry in the show. We saw some people laugh, dance, jump. Good cry, though. Good cry. A lovely cry. A good, healthy cry. Yes, not a sad cry, a happy cry. Did you guys happy cry when Younique debuted at number four on the Billboard 200? That's amazing, how did you celebrate that? You know what? We celebrated with our fans, we were hustling. We're about to drop another album next month, the teaser just dropped for a couple hours ago actually. Number four has been such an honoring thing for us and growing up listening to the Billboard chart and then also charting in the same chart is absolutely insane. we really hope with this new album why settle for four you know let's keep it going take it to the top let's keep the good vibes going is what we're thinking and so yeah um yeah i mean every project we've released has been kind of topping one another and so hopefully for this next album our fans really love and we can't wait for you guys to listen to it you're going in the right direction for sure uh so you have such loyal fans as you mentioned but you know you also have this new audience that's watching you this morning on Good Day LA how would you describe your music to someone who's maybe haven't heard it yet i'll say it's it's like a it's like freedom you know we're trying we're always trying the new genre new like things always so we have everything we have characteristics and individual like characters yeah very very i would say we're very youthful and energetic too whatever we do i feel like it always has a kick of youthful energy That's great. And even though we're on our sixth year, yeah, even though we're on our sixth year, we're still kicking it. These knees are fresh. That's right, many years to come and many fresh knees to go for sure. What did you decide to do differently for your Unique release? Because as a group, and even as individuals, you have to evolve. So what did you do different this time? I think especially with Unique, as the projects keep coming out, we have a lot more creative control over our music and our concepts and i think with unique it's our first time ever touching base on a brazilian funk type of song yeah i like that yeah thank you and so we really wanted to do something rhythmical and fun and something that we will actually have energy performing on stage as well and so just tackling on a new genre was one a very difficult challenge for us but also so much more rewarding knowing the fans really loved it so yeah i mean always tackling new things new genres and new sounds i love that cross-cultural connection that you just said you know that brazilian sound too right is there a country that you guys would love to visit that you haven't visited yet that's a good question we've been so many places i'm sure you've been around the world is there one specific place that's on your wish list this day is um greece Greece. Yeah. The city is Santorini. Santorini. Yeah. Yeah. That's one of my kind of bucket list cities. Yeah. Mine too. Yeah. That's a good one. That's so beautiful. Anyone else? The North Pole. I want to go there too. I want to visit Santa. Yes. In the North Pole for sure. Exactly. Especially in the wintertime, we can see the Aurora. Maybe if we can do a stage, a performance there during the wintertime. Hey. Why not? Hey. Hey. Hey. a performance there during the winter time hey hey why not hey maybe we'd be the very first people to ever do that i mean why not november we're about to blow up anything is possible i mean come on another album coming next month you guys are you stay busy yeah always tell us about blow up blow up is just literally what it means in itself is to blow up and we really hope with this new album we can blow up with our fans and we were just saying this at 82 worlds um this past weekend that we feel like we could really blow up with the love of our fans and we have the confidence and we think we deserve it and we think our fans deserve it too to just blow up together and we really wanted to put it out into the universe and kind of manifest it almost and even when the fans sing along hopefully they can manifest that into their own lives as well too i love it i love it i mean six year strong your sixth anniversary coming up october 28th so next week so i hope you have some time to have fun and celebrate because you guys deserve it thank you yeah i think we appreciate you so much for coming to visit us now you if you don't know about P1Harmony now you know give them a follow check out their new album next month you guys are definitely going to continue to blow up hey we will be right back you want to say we'll be right back yeah together oh All right, you can look at that camera right there and just say we'll be right back.
