President Trump says he is open
to a high-level summit meeting with the leaders of Russia
and China as the tensions with Ukraine become even more intense
and bipartisan criticism
is growing on Capitol Hill.
Doug Luzader is in Washington.
He has the details.
Good morning, guys.
Good morning.
President Trump is getting much more pointed
in his criticism of Ukrainian President Volodymyr
Zelensky, who says his country
is no longer getting full cooperation from the United States.
Emergency crews in Ukraine struggle
with another onslaught of Russian strikes.
And Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says there
is no longer much of a warning from U.S. intelligence.
This is already the third time in a short period
that we have had no such warning about ballistic missiles.
And we have received no clear explanation.
Zelensky speaking online with a bipartisan group of lawmakers,
and his criticism didn't stop there.
We also know that unfortunately the Pentagon
is delaying the delivery of missiles
that our partners have already paid for.
Maybe it's time for Zelensky to get
somebody else to negotiate.
President Trump says Zelensky could have already ended the war,
while saying he was open to sitting down
with the leaders of Russia and China.
I would do it, not so much for Ukraine,
because Russia, frankly, has been fine on Ukraine.
The president also eased restrictions on Russian diesel
and delayed the implementation of a new sanctions package,
even in the face of many Republicans pressing for action.
It's very popular, actually,
among Republicans to increase pressure on Putin.
And this is important as a means to end the war.
The administration, meantime,
has denied that the U.S. is limiting access, limiting Ukrainian access,
to the Starlink network to help defend itself.
Back to you guys.
All right, Douglas Zader in Washington.
