MOVED TO DUBAI VLOG - FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Oct 19, 2026
Heyy guys, an update from me and what's been happening.
So I just moved to Dubai and sharing all my thoughts and feelings so far....
If you have anymore questions, please let me know!
hey guys it's me i am recording my latest vlog i
am right now in Dubai i have moved here just
two days ago so it's really really still very fresh
um i thought i'll just tell you a little
bit a lot of questions asked in my DMs
and just wanted to share my experience so far
of course i'm sure i will be updating
my experience in like a week's time
and just wanted to update you all on what's happening
and why am i here a lot of you know
that i left Mexico and if you don't know the reason i left Mexico
because uh my landlord and
his partner girlfriend stole all my belongings
and destroyed all my basically everything that
i left in Mexico to come back
to so i just felt like i didn't want to go back to Mexico anymore
because it just didn't feel right to me anymore
so i decided to go to a new place i was deciding
between Thailand and Dubai
and decided to go to Dubai i did feel extremely overwhelmed over the
last couple of days uh well it's only been two days it's day three now
so it does feel like i've
been here much longer um the humidity is getting
to me like my hair is like getting really curly
and puffy um and it's obviously really hot
in here it's like 38 40 degrees during the day and
even at night when you're going for a walk
which i did last night it was like 32 35 degrees which
is insanely hot so you're constantly sweating i think i'm
also not used to the heat just yet
because i did spend a whole summer in Latvia
and you know it was pretty cold especially now i left
it was like you know three five celsius degrees uh it
is a very big overwhelming city uh still i
got like i didn't have an amazing day yesterday i
got like completely lost i got the wrong taxi i
did like so many things just went wrong
but it's fine you know it always is like when you move to
a new place and usually i don't get like
so overwhelmed and i thought i didn't but then i
remembered when i moved to mexico i
was also overwhelmed for like two weeks i stayed in a
hotel and i actually had really bad anxiety back
then so i don't even have that like this time
it's just like i don't know it's just starting everything from scratch
and also i decided to
give myself two weeks so i'm
not permanently moving here just yet like i haven't made that
final decision so i'm only here for two weeks
and um in two weeks i will see if i want to stay here
if i don't want to stay here
so i'm just going to kind of like take it easy and explore you know
sort a few bits out as you know
because i move a lot i'm always staying in different apartments
so i had to order a lot of the kitchen stuff like scales
and whisks and everything that i need for
cooking i do have a cooking class tomorrow
so these kind of things they are a bit annoying
because obviously when you have a base you don't need
to worry about that you just have everything
at home but here i have to like think about all
of that stuff get used to the new ingredients um
but yeah i'm living off my luggage again i'm moving
in a couple of days to a hotel because
i had that booked earlier
and then at the moment i know that over the next couple of weeks months
i'm not gonna have a permanent home
so like the idea of that is stressful and it's really annoying
but if i know and like i know
that's what's coming like i don't feel as stressed anymore
because i'm just accepting what it
is and i'm just gonna enjoy it you know what it is because
there's no point stressing that i'm still gonna
be living in luggage uh for a while so i still
don't know i think maybe after two weeks i might go to thailand uh
or i'm gonna go somewhere else
i really don't know yet everything changes
so quickly at the minute so i have no idea i might
really like dubai the way i felt yesterday i
didn't think i'm gonna stay here anymore but
today i felt a bit better
and i'm meeting a couple of new potential friends people uh tomorrow so
we'll see maybe once i get to know people here you know it'd
be different but um i wanted to answer
some of your questions
which you guys asked me um a lot of you asking me similar questions so
hopefully i will cover and if not just ask me below
and I'll answer it so the moment I rented
an Airbnb Airbnb that's the one
and it's in Marina area which is I think it's
like the central area but it's supposed
to be I thought it was close to the
beach like the way it described it
was like oh it's right by the beach and it
took me like 25 30 minutes to go
to the beach yesterday and it got dark so I
didn't really see the beach either
so I'm not sure I think the spaces here are
very huge they're like you know everyone's like oh I'm just also in
Marina like it's just down the road
and it's like a 40 minute walk and you can't really walk in this
heat so you have to take taxis everywhere I went
to the mall yesterday to meet someone and yeah it
was like a 30 40 minute drive
so I think I'm a little bit like not used to the distances just
yet and also first thing you know kind of comes
into the head is that you definitely need a car
here it's really hard if you don't have
a car especially if you're gonna live here I think if
you're just visiting and staying
and you don't need it I don't really want to drive I want
yeah like yeah so I'm not going to get a car
so I'm going to just use Uber and they also have
this app called Kareem
which was absolutely disastrous the taxi never came five times
and you know just just these kind of things you know you got
to get a card like so you can use
the internet because there's no internet unless you get
the local card 3G another thing that stood
out to me in just a couple of days was that everything
is very very secure and controlled
what I mean by that is that you can't even get
a SIM card without your passport so I had no idea I
went to the shopping mall I'm like yeah I need a card
and they're like yeah you need a passport
and I was like what I'm just getting a card
so there's just like all these kind of things so i
know why they say like Dubai is like very safe
and secure because it's actually very very controlled
city in a sense that they have all your details like
if you're ordering anything Amazon packages
whatever you do they are tracking you
so you can't be naughty here not that i was planning to be
what i'm saying is that that's why it's probably a safe country
but at the same time it's very very
you know futuristic and very very advanced like
the buildings are insane it's very powerful energy
here um i haven't actually
been to anywhere pretty much just yet i mean again it's only been
two days i've got work to do so i've been working
and i am planning to make like a list of all the
places that i want to go
to and explore Dubai basically find some people that want to explore
it with me you know because i don't want to be the only tourist uh
and see how i feel and yeah
that's the plan so far right let me answer some
of your questions what inspired you to move to
Dubai not Thailand i think i thought that Dubai would have
a lot more opportunities for networking
and business and it's definitely that uh everything
is artificial here by the way as well like i found
out yesterday that the ocean the sea is fake it's
not real not that i thought it was i don't even
know what i was thinking i don't know what i
was thinking you know you just don't think sometimes
about these things but basically they are really good
at making everything fake but it looks
amazing it's just like it's basically imagine future life
and everything is done for you right
like i just ordered food on the app online it came
to me within 30 minutes like door to door
it's just the conveniences like the services top notch
in restaurants so there is a lot of
basically comfort for life and i think if you're looking
for that kind of stuff this is a place you
know um and yeah thailand would
be a lot more chill definitely none of this type of service i'm
sure um rent cost a lot of questions about the rent cost
so i'm going to show you my apartment
in a minute um i've only rented it out for one week
because i didn't know if i like it and you
know like i'm not gonna rent anything for more than
a week until i kind of go physically see
places this was um this is a tiny studio
by tiny i mean a really tiny like i'm actually getting
frustrated because when i get up from my table i bump into my bed
and then my kitchen is right in
front of me so for me like you know i just spent three months
in my dad's house and it was just
like a big nice spacious house
so i am feeling a bit like claustrophobic in here um and this place
was like around hundred you know hundred
euros hundred dollars a night so it's
pretty expensive like around 700
and you know this this was like the cheapest
option like there are cheaper options somewhere like
not in the you know
central area of course you can always find
but I think now that from from
speaking to people I haven't done
my rent you know research just yet because
i don't know if i'm gonna stay
then i do need to find an apartment if i'm not gonna stay then i don't
really need to find an apartment i'm just gonna enjoy
the two weeks that i booked here because
i've only booked for two weeks and just enjoy it
and then move somewhere else um but from what i
heard if you want to get something like decent normal it varies
from about 1500 to two and a
half thousand three thousand dollars a month
which is insane uh it's definitely different ballparks
so yeah you can of course share a house room whatever
but i'm talking about if you want to
live on your own um in like a one two bedroom apartment
these are the rough rent costs so
definitely not for people who can't afford that type of rent
and you can live again like really
far away but it seems that you would spend more money on traveling here
so like just to give you
an idea my uber was costing me 25 for a 30 minute drive
which i know everywhere in the world that
that would usually be around you know six to eight dollars
so it's definitely you feel it it's spicy
uh how difficult was it to find an apartment
in dubai again i just used airbnb and booking.com
so i'm staying in a hotel from next week uh definitely harder
if you need to cook if you
don't need an oven and you don't need
to cook maybe you can stay somewhere you know faster but
i do need all the stuff for work uh try making
or eating kunafa in dubai it's one of my favorite
desserts i have not tried that yet definitely should try
that um why did you pick dubai right
answer that one enjoy your time in dubai thank you
are you coming back to mexico no i am not
Did you find accommodation? So yeah,
a lot of the same questions, which makes sense. Why did you move?
What's the internet speed like?
Internet's really good, very fast, so definitely top-notch.
Yeah, so I don't know, I don't feel as overwhelmed as I did yesterday,
but I still am feeling very fragile.
I don't think it's a good idea to move here on your own,
although, you know,
I've pretty much traveled to like 55 countries
and lived pretty much everywhere
So I am I would say I'm an experienced traveler
and I'm finding it overwhelming
So if you're not an experienced traveler and you are planning
to make such a big move, maybe don't do it on your own
That's right, you know what I was walking today.
I went for a walk this morning and
It was boiling. It was like too hot
to walk like I felt dizzy. I can't breathe
so you definitely need to take electrolytes drink lots of water here
but I just realized you know I
adapt really quickly just couple more days
and I'll probably be like oh loving it here but the
minute I'm having a mixed feeling if it's my city like
in a way the city is amazing I have nothing
to say like it just feels like it's another London just better
and bigger and I left London for a
reason because I wanted to actually have bigger space like I wanted
to live in the house I want
to you know have a better higher quality of life
and basically i think living here unless you earn
---- loads of money you're not really going to get
that you know high luxury standard of living
that i probably will get in thailand
so yeah it's it's just more about that but at the same time
i will see how i feel in a week i might meet lots of amazing people
and then want to stay
and then open my master classes
and become top you know chef here in dubai who knows
um so yeah that's kind of my update for now stay tuned
if you have any more questions let me know
and uh yeah i'll see you all soon guys bye oh ---- i need
to show you the apartment wait here
it is so it starts here this is the bathroom hello uh bathroom toilet
and shower so it looks
very modern you know
and this is basically the whole apartment the bed and the kitchen
and um you know cupboard and this is 700 pounds
guys 700 pounds for a week 700 and this is my
workstation and i do have a balcony as well
um but i don't really go out much because it's kind
of hot but look at the view
though kind of cool right yep stay tuned i will update you more
