Hi Folks, Welcome to Dog's Trains! In this video we will follow GSMR 1702 from Bryson City to Nantahala as she pulls the Nantahala Gorge Excursion along with F9 4210. I recount some of the local history along the Murphy Branch rail line, from modern history, to long lost tales of mountaineers, feats of engineering and funny stories as the train travels up the line past these historical sites. This video is 4K, 60 FPS (Frames Per Second) and has been color graded to match real life and take away the dull look for stunning footage. There are some beautiful sights and sounds, from 4210 passing a tall mountain peak in the lush Nantahala Gorge to 1702's replica Reading 6 Chime whistle echoing thru the Great Smoky Mountains. S160 1702 thunders across the last frontier in America: The Back of Beyond. A forgotten backwoods once so remote, it was nearly inhospitable.
