James Kaufman with news report today.
We have a massive warehouse fire
that's erupted in Los Angeles last night.
We do have a video.
Looks like they've decided to burn all
of Los Angeles to the ground, obviously.
That last aerospace company that burnt right in the middle
of Los Angeles is being investigated by the FBI for arson.
thick black smoke billowed from a storage facility
at the 1400 block of South Los Palos Street it's
unclear how the blaze started now ladies
and gentlemen this is a huge absolutely huge storage
facility and i will show it to y'all it stores materials
and merchandise for over 30 companies
So there's no telling what's going to go off in here.
You're looking at the roof of it here.
They've evacuated all the farming off the roof at this point.
And that is the roof.
I do have Google Earth both on top of it and beside it.
It's Lineage.
And again, it stores merchandise
for over 30 different companies.
So there's no telling what's going to go.
And by go, I mean blow up.
massive fire commercial building in Bull Heights
the LA fire department firefighters have
transitioned to a defensive operation all crews have
been ordered off the roof and out of the
building's interior i think they're gonna let it burn
if you only knew how big it was
it's several square city blocks
and it's right in the industrial area with all the trains and
Other things that, well, it's a bad spot and very close to downtown.
We'll take a look at that. And here it is right here.
You can see the biggest building. And these are the train yards here.
Well, all the train yards. And this is the building here.
And we're going to take a look at it. It's Lineage. Lineage.
We're going to take a look at it from ground level.
But I wanted to zoom out a little bit and show y'all how close it
was to the downtown area here. Crazy stuff. Crazy stuff.
Uh, again, no one knows how the blaze started.
Just real quickly for perspective,
this is one of the largest, if not the second largest,
warehouse in Los Angeles.
To kind of give you an idea of how big we're talking about here,
we'll drive down and see.
So it's a couple of square blocks.
If you look at the size of this
building, it's going to keep going.
It's a big one.
I don't know what kind of square footage that is,
but that is unbelievable.
Again, the new plan is to try to protect the buildings adjoining it,
and they're going to let it burn
to the ground with all the merchandise in it.
You'd be thinking they'd at least be moving
the tractor trailers at this point,
but that's not occurring either.
So, ladies and gentlemen, again, defensive, heavy winds.
Looks like they're blowing to the east.
there's another warehouse right next door
this could get more than interesting uh heavy industrial
area as y'all saw and this is no good for LA nothing
but fires god bless folks give us a
thumbs up please share if you can
and always remember that anything's possible bizarro world
