James Kaufman with a news report today.
Russia's largest fuel facility spews black rain over Ryazan.
An early Friday drone strike triggered
a major fire in the Ryazan oil refinery.
Russia's largest, if not the largest, fuel production facility
is according to local residents and Russian monitoring channels.
Residents reported multiple loud explosions and drones were seen
flying over the city when videos circulating online showed flames
and thick smoke rising from the refinery itself.
Analysts have determined that in addition to two high-rise buildings,
an old refinery in the city was damaged heavily.
Photos taken by eyewitnesses were taken near the Olympic Town
in Microdistrict, approximately 4 kilometers from the Ryazan Old Refinery
and an independent restaurant on the road.
Two high-rise buildings in the zone were also struck,
resulting in significant casualties.
The Ukrainian drone barrage killed at least four people
and it led to a huge fire at an
oil refinery in the city of Ryazan on Friday
in what appeared to be a direct retaliation
for a deadly Russian strike on Kiev a day earlier.
Ryazan Region Governor Pavel Malkov confirmed
the deaths in a post on Telegram, adding that
Dozens of people, including children, were wounded in the attack,
so that drones struck two apartment buildings from an industrial site,
which he did not identify by name.
There were also reports that black rain fell
from the sky for hours after the refinery was struck,
adding additional confirmation to serious damage
at the fuel facility itself amid the ongoing emergency response.
The strike sparked a fire at the Rosneft oil refinery,
leading to what some would describe as oil rain.
Residents complained online of sticky black spots on their cars,
windows, and all the building facades.
Ukrainian sources have determined that both the Ryazan oil refinery
and the Gazprom gas plant
are considered critical components of Moscow's war infrastructure.
Last week, a brief ceasefire held.
Soon, on the heels of a successful three-day
U.S.-backed V-Day ceasefire
between Russia and Ukraine,
Russian forces went on to unleash several days of drone
and missile barrages
from Ukrainian cities, especially the capital of Kiev.
Some 1,500 missiles
and drones were launched in just 48 hours.
BBC reported Thursday that, quote,
at least seven people had been killed,
including a 12-year-old girl in Kiev
after Russia launched a massive wave of drone and missile strikes
on the Ukrainian capital and other regions in the area,
officials have said.
Sadly, the tit-for-tat revenge strikes
are only increasing.
More and more apartment blocks and civilian neighborhoods on each
side have been coming under devastating attacks because of this.
Both the Russian and Ukrainian strikes have said
to be the largest of the war thus far, which is hard
to believe considering the war has been ongoing for years.
so this is where we're at folks it's time
for peace please please give us a thumbs up and share
and pray for all these people to have peace
and always remember that anything's possible
in the czar world
