AI GeneratedThe presenter provides a weather update and a look at upcoming calendar events. The forecast predicts a period of sunny, dry weather with a brief frost warning for some suburbs, followed by a warming trend that will bring temperatures into the 70s by the end of the week, ensuring pleasant conditions for the upcoming Halloween holiday.
We look ahead for us.
Halloween, seven days away.
Next Saturday, we will have Halloween.
Cindy, I don't know if we're going
to take part in this or dress up for it,
but yes, Halloween's quickly approaching.
And then we're going to fall back in eight days,
and then Veterans Day in 18 days.
Tonight, we have a sunset.
It happened at 6:17 p.m.
We got one more 6 p.m. sunset next Saturday,
and after that, we're back into the 5 o'clock hour.
But for tomorrow, sunny and nice conditions on the way.
Our temperatures right now are in the 50s and the 60s.
58 degrees in Germantown, 59 in Beltsville, and then 62 in Waldorf.
We look outside, and this is our camera out at the National Harbor.
Temperature 60 degrees, our winds are from the east.
It's been kicking in a few more clouds around throughout the day,
but today still was a mostly sunny afternoon.
And we look at our planner for tonight.
We stay in the 50s until 12 a.m., and then after that,
we'll see the threat for some frost to set up tomorrow morning
as those overnight lows will fall into the 30s,
especially for those communities you're seeing in blue.
And that's you, Montgomery County, Loudoun County,
Frederick, down towards Fauquier County,
and areas to the south that are under that advisory.
That will last until 9 a.m. tomorrow morning.
And then in the afternoon, we're going
to warm up to the mid to upper 60s.
High pressure is in control, not just for us.
Everybody is experiencing nice weather.
New England, the northeast, down towards the south, the Midwest,
that ridge is blocking everything from everybody.
In fact, extreme heat has been happening from
Missouri down towards Texas, over towards Illinois,
where those temperatures are running
10 to almost 15 degrees above average for this time of the year.
But that ridge of high pressure
will eventually be shifting over towards the east a bit more,
and then we'll get our winds out of
the west, and that's what's going to warm us up.
By Monday, we'll see those temperatures going from
the 60s to the 70s, and then we've got a couple more 70s
by the end of the week. So here's your
planner for tomorrow we'll start off low 44 degrees
in DC 30s in the suburbs 66 degrees by
three o'clock and then as we look at the forecast model
this is the European model we're going to
start the clock on Tuesday because we're going
to be dry today's the seventh day that we've been
dry we've got another front coming through
this is a dry frontal system it's going to cool us off
just a little bit and then high pressure builds right back
in this is Saturday we stay dry it
looks like our next chance
for rainfall really doesn't come potentially into Sunday maybe even
Monday again this is the European model
and then behind that we'll eventually start to cool back
down again before tonight these are your low temperatures 38
for a low out of Dallas 35 in
Manassas and 38 in Gaithersburg
and then 40s to the east of interstate 95 and then tomorrow
afternoon we'll give it a high of 66 degrees
in DC 67 in Dale City 65 in upper Marlboro and I might
be a little bit low for us tomorrow 66 in La Plata 66 in Leonardtown
and then for the mountain zones
Those numbers will also be very close
to seasonable, which is 67 degrees.
So there you have it.
Sunshine, a lot of it as we go through the rest of this week.
Here's your seven-day forecast.
Tomorrow afternoon, we start off with those highs in the 60s.
Monday, 70 degrees.
And then on Tuesday, 69.
We have that front coming through.
We'll cool things off just a touch on Wednesday.
And then those 70s are coming back, Sydney,
by the time we roll into your Thursday and Friday.
High temperatures, mid-70s.
And what did I say?
Halloween doesn't look that spooky at all.
73 degrees. You know what's worse is when you can't go out
when the weather's bad.
