A quiet autumn day in Tokyo, seen through the eyes of someone who loves food, cooking, and beautiful everyday things. 🇯🇵🍁

Today, I'm stepping away from my kitchen for a little while and taking you along on a walk through Tokyo.

We’ll start with a seasonal fruit tart near Meguro Station, wander through some quiet residential streets, browse kitchenware and tableware in Ebisu, enjoy an izakaya dinner, and finish the evening at OIMACHI TRACKS, one of Tokyo’s newest spots.

Many of you enjoyed my previous Kappabashi video, so this time I wanted to share another side of Tokyo that still feels connected to the things I love—food, kitchen tools, Japanese craftsmanship, and everyday life. ☺️🌿

I hope this video feels a little like taking a walk through Tokyo together.

📍 PLACES IN THIS VIDEO

🍰 Princess Tart Meguro
Near Meguro Station

A fruit tart shop filled with beautiful seasonal tarts.
The Meguro location opened in February 2026.

If you enjoy Japanese cafés, seasonal fruit, and beautifully presented desserts, this might be a lovely stop to remember for a future Tokyo trip. ☕🍓

🚶 Meguro → Ebisu

This time, I chose a route that passes through some quieter residential streets rather than only famous tourist areas.

One thing I enjoy about walking around Tokyo is unexpectedly coming across small shrines and torii gates between modern homes and buildings.

🏙 Ebisu Garden Place
Nearest station: Ebisu Station

A large complex with shops, cafés, restaurants, and lifestyle stores.

In the kitchenware section, I found Japanese tableware, hot-pot dishes, bamboo steamers, a miso measuring whisk, copper tamagoyaki pans, and plenty of things I probably don't need—but still want. 😂

Japanese kitchenware is always dangerous for me...

🍶 IZAKAYA DINNER

After walking from Ebisu to Oimachi, we stopped for dinner at an izakaya.

Some of the dishes we enjoyed:
• Sashimi
• Grilled fish collar
• Tamagoyaki with mentaiko (spicy cod roe)
• Sanma (Pacific saury) and mushroom takikomi gohan

🍶 Sake in the video:
Meikyoshisui (明鏡止水)

A sake from Nagano Prefecture made by Osawa Shuzo.
I don't usually drink very much sake, but I found this one beautifully clean, crisp, and very easy to drink. ☺️

🌙 OIMACHI TRACKS
Directly connected to Oimachi Station

A new mixed-use complex that opened in March 2026.

You'll find restaurants, supermarkets, cafés, lifestyle shops, a cinema, and many other places here.

Some interesting stops for visitors include:

• LIFE — Japanese supermarket
• Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten — Japanese crafts and lifestyle goods

There are also restaurants where you can try foods from different regions of Japan, including Sendai beef tongue and Hakata motsunabe.

One of the things I love about Tokyo is that you can experience so many different regional foods from all over Japan without leaving the city. 🇯🇵

🎁 Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten
OIMACHI TRACKS 3F

One of my favorite Japanese lifestyle shops.

They carry practical and beautifully designed household goods, foods, gifts, and everyday items inspired by traditional Japanese craftsmanship.

I often visit when I'm looking for a small gift for someone.

You can also find their shops in other parts of Tokyo, including around Tokyo Station, Shibuya, and Shinagawa.

If you're planning a trip to Tokyo, I hope you can save this video and come back to it when you're looking for food, kitchenware, Japanese lifestyle shops, or simply a quieter side of the city. ☺️🌿

And if you've already visited Tokyo, I wonder which area or shop you enjoyed the most.

Thank you so much for walking through Tokyo with me. 🤍
