I'm CBC meteorologist Ashley Braulweiler with a look
at your forecast for Newfoundland and Labrador.
Nice start to the day, but we do have
a cold front that will sweep through,
and it is going to bring so much colder air
as we head through the next couple of days.
Today, enjoying some warm temperatures, though.
We've got this southwesterly flow.
Showers on the west coast of the island,
but that will eventually head east as we head through the day.
As you can see, topping out somewhere between 9
to 14 degrees this afternoon.
Temperatures cooler for Labrador, especially Lab West.
You're down to about three degrees today, some flurry chances.
And here's a look at those showers making their way across the island.
The better chance of flurries up across Labrador.
By the time we get to tonight, those showers will reach the Avalon.
And behind that, that colder air.
Then we get into the potential for some flurries.
That will be the story for tomorrow for the west coast,
really, and then parts of Labrador as well.
But overall, those temperatures really dropping
in the long-range forecast.
back down to the single digits, in fact,
well below where we should be sitting this time of year.
