Pet of the day: Barney

I'm now for our pet of the day. We have Mia from Shelters and Shells Rescue joining us this morning. And no tricks, all treats here. What did you bring? So of course we bought a super sweet little treat this morning to our favorite station. We got Barney Rubble here. So he's a 12 week old little chihuahua mix. And we rescued him and his entire family from a North Georgia shelter, a rural area. And the whole shelter, the whole litter is named after the Flintstones. So this is Barney, and he has four siblings. He's up for foster or adoption, but we want him to get his forever home. He's in a foster home right now with two cats and a dog. So he is cat-friendly and dog-friendly. Okay. And he will do good with older kids, but he also is a puppy, so he can learn how to get along with any children if you have them. And he's still learning, but he is crate-trained and getting potty-trained. So he's ready for adoption immediately. He doesn't want to live in Bedrock no more. He wants to come to Atlanta and get a forever home. And it sounds like this is the good time to get him into a home, too. Yes, yes. He's adoptable. Yes, yes. And you can meet him and other adoptable dogs. Especially in fall, we have a lot of adoption events coming up for the dogs because it's cooler weather for them. So you can come and check them out and meet them. Speaking of which, he knows how to rock a sweater. Yes, yes. He has on his trick-or-treat sweater. He's ready. He's ready to rock and roll for Halloween. So if you want to get him this weekend, he has his sweater. He is ready. He is ready. Yes. Yeah. It was nice to meet you, Barney Rubble. You said he's a good cuddle bug, too. Yes, he's a super cuddle bug. He loves to cuddle. He loves to cuddle. A typical chihuahua, so he wanted to get up in my shirt and cuddle up. I know. I want to pick him up, but he's got that little worried look on his face. I'm going to let you do the cuddles, and maybe I can get a cuddle in the break here. Yes. But thank you for bringing him in.
