NFL Week 7 Highlights: Coaching Mastery & Team Updates

Man, we're to start week seven of the National Football League. You're starting to see teams really start to separate themselves. And I got to say this, we talked prior to the show, has to be one of the greatest coaching jobs going on right now in the NFL. It's got to be John Harbaugh and what they're doing with the New York Giants. A thriller. Scadaboo. How about the way that he benched them? He comes back and he was a dog in that football game. They ran the football. and boy i gotta tell you man jj mccarthy maybe it wasn't sexy but hey he's a one and oh quarterback with the new york giants truly the only stat i care about is going one and all you know i could care less how we get it done at the end of the day you want to perform well uh you want to execute well and you know it's uh one of those things where you know if the running backs are getting their touches and getting their touchdowns i'm as happy as i can be whether i'm throwing the touchdowns i'm as happy as i can be you know at the end of the day all that matters is getting that victory how about that story going on right now they are four two and one on the season right now make no i mean this is one of the greatest coaching jobs going that we've seen in new york in a long time kudos to john harbaugh now on the other side you had some undefeated teams going into this ball game here and the defending champions were taking on the kansas city chiefs boy, I'll tell you what, they just absolutely struggled. That Seahawks defense looked like that Seahawks defense of a year ago, and they got it done, and Mahomes knows. They got to respond after this game. Yeah, I mean, I think the biggest takeaway is if you don't come ready to play, it's just you can get your tail kicked in this league, and no matter if you're 5-0 or whatever it is, every week's a new week, and every team can do this. And so you have to have that mindset of when you go throughout the week of practice of we need our best football that Sunday and I have to do the same as well and so we'll get a young team um it'll be about how we respond from this obviously with the big game coming up this next week so let's get let's get rolling and get ourselves ready for that yeah and another one of those undefeated football teams also was the San Francisco 49ers I gotta tell you Bijan Robinson is some football player Michael Penix how about that with the Falcons starting to play some pretty good ball and i gotta say man i thought they took it to the 49ers and Kyle Shanahan knows this was a tough loss here um i mean it's hard to say that stuff usually that stuff plays in uh guys not going as hard and things like that and i mean i was really proud of a lot of guys i thought wide outs stepped up i thought Jordan Walker has made some big plays i thought we ran the ball really well um you know you know we had one pun in the game um but when it comes down to those turnovers I don't think that was from the things you just said I think they were just we got to protect the ball better they do a good job of going for it but they got it out we lost two of them with Kittle and with KB and then I thought they made two really good picks to tell you the Truth 53 made a hell of a play dropping out of there after a blitz that we didn't see and Brock's got to throw that one away seemed like he did but he's made a hell of a pick on any given Sunday huh that's exactly what played out this past weekend in week seven of the NFL how about The undefeated Vikings, I have no idea how they're making this happen here. Their offense is absolutely awful. Kyler Murray knows that, too. It's all about the dudes on the other side of the football, that Vikings defense. What they do surprises me. I understand. I know how hard they work and the continuity between those guys. It's one of a kind. It's a really special group over there. Nothing that they do on Sunday surprises me. Honestly, I expect them to go out there and do that. I know that they expect that from themselves, but I'm definitely blessed. Somebody might want to get that guy a Tokyo phone book. Maybe he could stand up there a little bit more when he stands up there on the microphone there, but I got to tell you, man, a little bit there, give him some help there on the microphone there.
