NASA warns very large and complex sunspots come in around the sun.
Mars' Perseverance rover was able to image multiple sunspot groups,
including our old friend AR4366,
which unleashed six X-flares in early February.
Let's take a quick look at that.
All right, real quickly, this is AR4366's
666's last pass i.e earth facing and it popped
off six x flares you can see the x1 x8 x3 x2
x2 and x4 here that will be renamed as it makes the crest here
but it will be here in about three
short days these mars facing sunspots will turn
towards earth next week we are looking at a busy
period of intense solar activity, these sunspot groups stay together.
For our Perseverance rover
to be able to image these sunspots,
they have to be huge as the camera has very low resolution.
Needless to say, scientists at NASA are very worried about this setup.
To be able to be seen
from our mass cam on our Perseverance rover
on Mars tells us these are very large and dangerous
sunspots and our old friend ar4366
which will be renamed should crest the incoming limb and become
earth-facing in about three short days please notice
that as opposed to last time the sunspot
will have plenty of large complex friends
in the southern hemisphere as it transverses the
earth-facing portion of our star.
We in fact have seen several large backside
explosions the past few days
which points to ongoing severe activity. With
that said, buckle up buttercup as this ride is about to get bumpy.
